Well, seeing my personal reaction after having a death in HC, I can clearly see and understand how expanding could be detrimental and split the playerbase in a way that could harm the community. I can NOT vouch for other players so therefore my personal experience is not to be taken to be anything more than my personal opinion. Even I change perspective. It’s hard to know what to do. Sorry.
But damn it would be so cool. Lol.
I mean, the argument of “People who take the time to post on the HC forums are really softcore if they disagree with me” is what I was poking at. Especially how obnoxiously it was worded.
It’s 100% rational to use a retail character on this forum, given how griefable HC is and how people escalate online interactions. There are enough sources of death as it is without an angry forum person “healing” your tank in the next dungeon.
I would love a PvP and PvE BC Era server too as well as one for HC. I know of so many people who want a permanent BC Era server that would love to go back and one that we call home.
WOW classic TBC, where you can continue your current character… death is still permanent… you get a special buff showing you are an actual “lvl 1- tbc” character (similiar to sf)
And… people can create level 58 or 60 characters and begin at the dark portal, with baseline gear, gold, bags, and basic mount learned.
That way you get the HARDCORE experience of TBC without starting in Elwynn and without them really having to do anything to the game.
There would be tonnes of prestige to ppl who went 1-70… but keep a healthy population on the server by allowing ppl to create 58-60s’s fresh.
Why would you get a buff for playing an easier leveling version? You know they reduced the amount of XP you need to level in TBC right?
? you would get a buff if you dinged 1-60 in wow classic hc and didnt choose to get the boosted 58/60 char
But that’s not good enough. They need to get it over asap. It’s almost like they don’t enjoy playing the game…
If we ever get even normal TBC server, its extremely unlikely that there would be any boosts, those were simply to get people caught up with the previous expansion, with a fresh TBC server, there would be no be no reason for boosts, as everyone would be starting at level 1.
Terible idea allowing people to get free levels to 58
