And I am sure they would welcome constructive feedback with open arms. This is more aimed at those who don’t use coherent thoughts and stomp their feet. I think we all operate that way. Sit down, talk to me calmly and rationally and 99/100 times I will agree, or agree to an extent and help accomplish what needs to be done. But demanding it and playing the victim only makes that poster look bad, and almost pushes the Devs further back from interaction. Solid and positive feedback is being lost awash a sea of complaining.
The timegatting in TWW is horrible.
The game hard caps progress constantly. What kind of game hard forces it’s players to only play for a few hours per week?
And more horrible trolling and fabrications from the unsubbed. Given your post history, it is pretty disingenuous to stroll in here and pretend to have genuine feedback after bashing the game, and its players for the last 3 weeks.
Yea seriously. I do not understand the mentality of some alt levelers, and people like OP.
What part of the game do they consider the actual game??
Every part of this game is actual game. but like everyone, we play the parts we enjoy. At least those of us who are actively subbed do.
While I do generally agree with your assessment on how this game used to be, and the time sink on things we don’t even think about not that used to be a big pain…
This game currently has plenty of time wasting grinds for no reason to make up for the QOL that’s been added over the years.
Gaming has evolved and people in general have evolved along with it. If vanilla wow released for the first time today exactly how it released back then, I don’t think it’s anywhere near as successful.
Part of its success was because it was way less of a grind compared to EQ and the garbage that was FF11.
But also, I’m not 19, living at home without much going on and nearly unlimited time to burn anymore either. Too many responsibilities, family to take care of, social life, etc. And there’s way more competition in what can occupy my limited game time than ever.
So yeah, this game should respect my time and make certain things faster than it does now. I don’t really care how it used to be. It was a different game and I’m a different person.
Translation: Every part of the game should be completely invalidated in favor of M+ and raiding.
I agree. There is a TON of time wasting in this game.
- Flight paths should not be the common travel method between zones. Let Hearthstones work like FPs to get us to any Inn we have visited.
- Trading Post should remain unlocked, so people can keep participating and not just stop when it fills up.
- Lockouts should be removed and folks should be allowed to grind 24/7 til they get what they want. If they end up bored, that’s on them.
- Gear should be exponentially easier to upgrade using one currency, not 5, and having it drop from everything related to that content
I can name probably 25 more things, but will stop there. this whole game has areas that could be vastly improved if people would offer constructive and usable feedback.
Yes! Thank you for summing this up so clearly. I’ve been struggling with these sentiments as well.
I posted awhile about player entitlement and it came off as condescending but I think the point stands. We, as the players all think we know what we want but sometimes when we get what we want it’s not what was best for us. All the optimization and conveinance actually removes the challenges and unplanned interactions that made learning and social experiences impactful.
Actually. my personal opinion:
M+ should be yanked, turned back into heroics, and remove all unlocks.
Let people do what they want to do and stop allowing end game pillars to screw up all the staircases leading to them.
M+ should be yanked, turned back into heroics
Worst take ever. Heroics were so boring.
Removing unlocks is pretty based tho.
You are just never happy about anything in this game. Why are you still here?
To drown out idiot voices like yours.
You are free to go back to CLassic WOW and enjoy it
The servers are up and running.
You probably missed me talking about how tedious WoW Classic was, unless you were aiming at that dwarf. I would not go play that again for a guaranteed 5M gold in my mailbox every month. Been there, done that. Retail is perfect… for some of us anyway.
People need to stop looking at games like “it doesn’t respect my time” and look at them as “it’s not worth my time.”
Does that include M+ that I suggested removing?
Interesting… go on…
Most people level in more unique ways than just the same old stories.
So you are saying it sucks, and you are not even playing it, yet here you are with an opinion you expect folks to take seriously? Impressive.
Quite the “hot take” from someone who only plays classic.
Call it bad luck but I have to spend more time now than I ever did back in the old days just to get gears or get anywhere. As it stands, today is the last day of my weekend and I have spent all weekend trying to get through Heroic raid on an alt and somehow people still don’t know these mechanics. I waste so much of my time to just either lose the loot roll or be in failing group after failing group. I feel like I waste just as much if not more time and it never pays off anymore. I felt more rewarded for grinding in the past.
I don’t respect your time either
Good thing there is a classic version of this game so one has a choice of what version of the game they wish to play.
