WoW Development Stalled

The harassment isn’t over just because 90% of the people named in the suit are already gone, it’s something that needs to be fully weeded out.

Like, I doubt they’re still doing cubicle crawls, getting hammered, and playing grab-butt at work (probably haven’t for awhile, really wish there was time-stamps in the report), but other harassment is likely still going on, because the culture is there.

If you owned a company would YOU keep people around who have zero work to do?

There wasn’t positions for them anymore, live events aren’t happening.

Save money,. Large corporations have various incomes… a lot of companies saw that they would lose x on property write offs or insentives… hence the layoffs.

Okay but why is no work being done? If they’re incapable of carrying on while this happens then it points to another problem that Blizz has.

Death knells ringing during the expansion about death, ironic.

Jokes aside this is a pretty baaad sign for the game, but Blizzard being on fire internally is pretty good in general so oh well.

Death March

I’d have to say in my experience:

I’ve been harassed by players and nothing happens IN FACT: I’ve TRIED to ignore players who were harassing me, but I couldn’t, because when I tried to ignore them, my ignore list was full of people either spamming me or harassing me.

I had to choose between which stupid guy I thought was harassing me more and delete them OFF my list so I could ADD to my list a guy who was harassing me currently.

Thats kind of how I would view the blizzard culture. I’d have to choose between which was the greater evil. Because apparently they can’t assign ONE dingdong to increase the maximum limit of who I can ignore in the game.

Does it seperate mobile games from actual video games?

Many of these gaming statistics usually consider gem-crushing games such as candy-crush as a ‘video game’ like World of Warcraft

Its google. They have a database for everything your little heart desires.

Global ignore list, sure it’s not directly from blizzard, but it’s an infinite ignore list.

And I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with that, no one should.

So PvP gear being rating gated is here to stay :frowning:

PvP gear has been rating gated for most of wow’s life, so i’d say so.

They did do an awful job at building a sustainable social environment in wow.

If you think about the horde won the war and the alliance is just a thought.

Horde on Horde crimes should be punished

I’m going to say something that has been at the back of my mind since the Diablo Immortal fiasco at Blizzcon. I can’t help but think that the company wants to end the MMO, perhaps so they redirect resources to other things like mobile games.

I also think that there is a group of people who are attempting everything possible to weaken subscribership to the game so Blizzard can have a reason to end it. Once that occurs I would imagine that there are going to be massive layoffs.

I could be wrong and I hope I’m wrong, but things that have been said and done in the past have led me to that conclusion, including when McConnell said on an Asmongold stream that the game was in a “managed decline”.

Blizzard going to outsource harassment in their own game?

Kind of like how they outsource addons to their game, but not pay the people doing it?

Freaking outlandish.

They should promote the bastion designer to head of the company and let them design things for them for the next 10 years.

Remember when JAB fired someone over forgetting to refill his Dr Pepper?

LOL what an awful place to work

Its in a decline, because they refuse to accept any input from their gamers like any other sane company would do.

Also, I’m sure majority of the big wigs at the top are making so much money right now why would they even care.

Its Detroit in a game company. Lol!

Do you think World of Warcraft players would run to Classic servers if Retail came to a screeching halt?

Sorry, I just woke up so it’s a bit hard to formulate thoughts and translate the images flashing quickly by I see in to words right now, to create meaningful and full questions.

There’s a decline, then there is a managed decline. If it was a managed decline it was because the higherups concluded that the game was in its sunset and they wanted to end it.

Then why does it always look like they never do until its crunch time? There is absolutely no way that it took 8 months to get 9.1 out, theres nothing in it. So what were they doing if they were always working on it?
