The harassment isn’t over just because 90% of the people named in the suit are already gone, it’s something that needs to be fully weeded out.
Like, I doubt they’re still doing cubicle crawls, getting hammered, and playing grab-butt at work (probably haven’t for awhile, really wish there was time-stamps in the report), but other harassment is likely still going on, because the culture is there.
Save money,. Large corporations have various incomes… a lot of companies saw that they would lose x on property write offs or insentives… hence the layoffs.
I’ve been harassed by players and nothing happens IN FACT: I’ve TRIED to ignore players who were harassing me, but I couldn’t, because when I tried to ignore them, my ignore list was full of people either spamming me or harassing me.
I had to choose between which stupid guy I thought was harassing me more and delete them OFF my list so I could ADD to my list a guy who was harassing me currently.
Thats kind of how I would view the blizzard culture. I’d have to choose between which was the greater evil. Because apparently they can’t assign ONE dingdong to increase the maximum limit of who I can ignore in the game.
I’m going to say something that has been at the back of my mind since the Diablo Immortal fiasco at Blizzcon. I can’t help but think that the company wants to end the MMO, perhaps so they redirect resources to other things like mobile games.
I also think that there is a group of people who are attempting everything possible to weaken subscribership to the game so Blizzard can have a reason to end it. Once that occurs I would imagine that there are going to be massive layoffs.
I could be wrong and I hope I’m wrong, but things that have been said and done in the past have led me to that conclusion, including when McConnell said on an Asmongold stream that the game was in a “managed decline”.
Do you think World of Warcraft players would run to Classic servers if Retail came to a screeching halt?
Sorry, I just woke up so it’s a bit hard to formulate thoughts and translate the images flashing quickly by I see in to words right now, to create meaningful and full questions.
There’s a decline, then there is a managed decline. If it was a managed decline it was because the higherups concluded that the game was in its sunset and they wanted to end it.
Then why does it always look like they never do until its crunch time? There is absolutely no way that it took 8 months to get 9.1 out, theres nothing in it. So what were they doing if they were always working on it?
