WoW crashing, "memory could not be "written" error

This is not correct it is showing that your video card has just over 1 MB. The error very well could be that there is something wrong with your video card or the video card is not communicating correctly with the computer.

Not sure why the msinfo32.exe tool reports only 1 MB (guess it’s a known issue after a quick google search) but I ran DxDiag and TechPowerUp GPU-Z and both showed better results.

I’ve been having the same issue since 11.0.5 patch. The WoW crashes have been more frequent in the last couple weeks. I found the error log file where the issue was written: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Errors. Below is the snippit from the error log file. I opened a ticket with Blizzard, they directed me here to find the solution.

Were you suggesting that “Intel(R) Core™ i9-14900HX” 13th or 14th Gen have issues?

Below are my spec:

Windows 11 Pro - 23H2
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Intel(R) Core™ i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz
64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable) RAM
Samsung SSD 990 PRO 2TB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER

This CPU is not on Intel’s affected processors list.
