Wow community council question

Some people try to build self-esteem in a video game instead of real life. Anything that diminishes their game “Status” is viewed as diminishing them in real life. They need to lord over you that you have no opinion because you don’t raid mythic.

They also don’t like people criticizing the game they get their self-worth from.

Instead of debating the content of the debate, they resort to personal attacks.

I love achievements in game and such, but agree they have nothing to do with real life.

My posting char was chosen in 2013 when I got moldy because I did not want people bothering me in game. Further, nobody in game has any idea I am in any MVP programs at all, not even my guild. Never have known. I don’t tell them anything because it has no impact on anything in-game so they don’t need to know.

To me forums and in-game are just totally separate and posting char has no bearing on the quality of a post.

I agree, the quality of the post is based on it’s content, not personal insults.

Still what? They are very smart to avoid it. They have their own forum for a reason.

Oh I’m fully aware you are normal people, don’t get me wrong, I won’t be putting you on a pedestal anytime soon. Lol. You might end up in the dog house as well, but that’s up to you.

What I meant by being honored is really just being heard. Context matters here. Blizz quit providing community feedback wayyyy back when ghost crawler was still here. That’s a long time of posting without response. That’s what I meant.

Public Relations Stunt and a future boogeyman to hoist blame upon when future features aren’t received well or face massive backlash. “Well, this is what the Community Council told us the Community wanted. Don’t blame us for this stuff, blame them for pushing their own wants into the game over the community’s desires.”

I volunteered at the Food Bank here for almost 6 years as a receptionist before my Panic Disorder started.

Do you know how horrible it feels to be called names when you have to tell families that we don’t have room for anymore people to get food boxes the day before Thanksgiving? Like, it’s not that I wanted to, but we ran out of turkeys and other general box items, and could only afford to fit in the people who made appointments. (And we had doubled our usual appointments for that week as well)

One year, I had to turn away like 300 families, and that was before lunch time. Someone said something like, “You’re a horrible person for doing this.” and I just broke. Completely started sobbing. Some nice people in the Lobby told him to leave and essentially forced him out the door when he wouldn’t. The owner was making lunch for the volunteers and went to one of the employees and told them to take over so I could take a break, (as I was alone I didnt have anyone to take over for me) and made sure I was okay, etc.

After that, they had a rule no one can do the front desk alone the week of Thanksgiving. Which ended up being a good rule, cause a girl who was with me the next year broke down as well.

People can be horrible and take out frustrations on people who are just trying to help.

To make it clear when i said experience i dont expect all mythic CE raiders i mean people who are clearly active. and again seeing the low lvl toons or alts who are so under geared make them seem like the common trolls. (a few of them have been in here and constantly message in any post i make and rage when you give them a pet name)
and with several of the CCs being those trolls or supporting the toxic doom and gloom wow is dying thats not a healthy place. as no one has proof wow is dying and it only leads to drama. its why i have suggested a clean up of it several times but was shut down and falsy reported by trolls who use these forums as a breeding grown for toxicity,
