They also stated Deadmines was the first dungeon they designed. Funny they got lost in their own dungeon!
AWESOME clap clap
Defias Pillagers strike again.
“The main character of an MMO is the world.” God I wish more developers thought like this.
Great video
The feels. Holy crap
The essence of a good dungeon experience :).
So THAT’s the guy who created defias pillagers.
F#$^*$# @%#$ of a #$^%^&.
I love how all the Developers have items made after them and then Mr. Pat Nagle (Nat Pagle) over here.
“Yeah they gave me a server.”
How awesome is that?!
Would’ve been a much better video if had me in it also playing but w/e.
Its almost like the vanilla devs cared about the game they were making, rather than only caring about their next cheque
…
…nah thats silly
“I didn’t know what all the systems in this game were supposed to be”
Core difference between game devs now and then. Now it’s all about “player engagement” and metrics and systems and reducing people to hamsters, clicks, numbers, dollars. Then it was “let’s create a world that’s fun to be in and rewarding to progress through with meaningful interactions.”
People who loved the RPG genre and wanted to make the actual role-playing experience better. Completely foreign to current devs treating players like lab rats on a slot machine.
Watched it again.
