WoW Classic Testing Access as of May 22

How many people did you invite to the closed beta, cause i have been watching streamers and it looks that arent many people that are playing if there are a “large” amount of people invited to the beta can you check to see if people are actually playing and if not take the beta away from people not playing it and give new people the beta… Also my account has been up since classic or the very Beginning of TBC and got no invite… Feels bad

How much do you want to bet that in ~2 weeks or so they will come out of nowhere with the promise of invites to get people resubscribing for another chance? And we’ll be doing this all over again.

And I will fall for it…b/c i want to play that much ahahahahah

So, if the age of the account is a factor, when should someone who has had this game since Vanilla and been subbed for 90% of the time since then expect their beta access?

For those of you who are getting upset at the statement about reduced invites, just remember that Blizzard has been listening to the community with a much more open mind since revealing classic wow beta. Nothing is set in stone, and I’m sure if the people at Blizzard working on the game take notice of the population numbers and understand the importance of marketing, then they will make sure to invite more people. And if you don’t get an invite, hey you can always watch the streams and wait for august to come around the corner. Ultimately it’s out of everyone’s control (excluding streamers) but it’s understandable if you want your voice to be heard about your passion for the game.

It’s kinda funny how many people are on here whining about not getting access to beta when the game is coming out in legit 3 months! quit getting your panties in a bunch over no beta access and just wait, not everyone gets access. Especially when it was the original version of the game where you had tons of people playing back then. and even if you get access to the stress test and refuse to take part in that because “i don’t want to be part of this i wanted beta!” you’re just showing you’re not mature enough to even be trusted with access to the beta to report bugs and such either. Just be happy you’re getting to even see the game before it fully launches.

Well, luckily I had made sure to not have high hopes on getting in since my luck is extremely bad. Although it is disappointing at the end of the day this is a company, a business. Using streamers has been super powerful and although you guys or I didn’t get into the beta. There will eventually be more invites i’m sure as time progresses it sucks yes, but at least we can view the game through these streamers. As others watch them it creates even more anticipation and hype which kind of still gives a good feeling and helps spread awareness for even more of a community. I am sad as well and crushed but complaining over it is not going to do much about it. It sounds like they have made up their mind and we just have to accept it and be patient. After all at least they are even bringing classic back. You could be logging in, bored, hopeless for the game to bring excitement but stuck playing the retail version as you guys claim is so horrible without any anticipation or excitement that you have Today. They have given us a breath of fresh air and a spark of excitement we would never have if it wasn’t for them determining they were wanting to make a classic server. Don’t be so hard on them, kind of take other matters into account other then your own greed of wanting to play the beta. Eventually I’m sure they will have almost everyone in even if it’s for a couple of weeks before they shut down the beta and prepare for launch. If not then it is what it is really complaining isn’t going to make things better but you are free to express your feelings and emotions no doubt. That’s about all I got really, thank you Blizzard for deciding to open Classic and keep us updated and trying to make the launch as smooth as possible. Thank you beta testers for the help you are giving them. Thank you community as a whole for being a part of the amazing time we are all going through together as we get excited and highly anticipate all going back home, and enjoying the game as what we all are a Community.

I’ve been subbed since 2005 never stopped

Just play on a private server. Blizzard isn’t inviting non streamers to their marketing campaign.

you mean unlike people like you who whine about one little post about classic?

sucks but it is what it is

And make sure to remember anyone who does that won’t get to play classic anyways since they would be banned for doing so.

Banned? How so?

Also, just want to throw this out there. There are a lot of people who are interested in streaming classic, but never did so on private servers because of ToS and DMCA issues. You’ve rewarded a bunch of classic ‘influencers’ who broke all the rules and solidified their position, WHILE LOCKING OUT POTENTIAL NEW STREAMERS. The lesson, I guess, is break the rules early and often to get ahead.

Just like Real Life!

Implying blizzard can even legally track that info. I’m not advocating playing on private servers permanently but the reality is basically no one will get invited to the beta and it’s your only way to test stuff before classic comes out in august.

You’re better off just waiting and not risking the possibility of being caught on private servers lmao.

The tears are strong in this thread.
