WoW Classic Stress Test 1

Servers are back up now. Just keep trying to make your characters and it should eventually get through.

Pretty disappointing stress test. High profile streamers run a level 1 race to Silithus, while many cannot even get past the character creation screen. Made worse by watching raid bosses spawning for people in the stress test, while many of us on the outside looking in. Was really looking forward to tonight, but it looks like we will not even have until Thursday to try out the stress test? Quoting the email that went out,

“Once the stress test period is over, you’ll be able to continue playing on the stress test realm (up to level 5) until Thursday, May 23.”

Servers are up. I didn’t get in at first but once you make it character creation just keep mashing that accept button! You’ll get there. You have 22 hours.

well, at least i was able to make a character

Ive got the same issue

CORRECTION: I am getting almost in… 90%… and then it is booting me back out… Still not quite there.

I got my first made and made 1 of every race after that… now I’m fighting logging into the character and it saying “world server is down”

Finally able to make a char only to get world server down despite the realm list showing the server is up.

Thanks for the dissertation that I didn’t read.

and i deleted that character and made another, quit wow and started again and 2nd character was there. same issue with 95% load and ‘world server down’

Well… at least it looks like we will be able to play sometime tonight…

that ‘fake connect’ is a really, really, really poorly named hotfix

It’s a stress test. Not a content test. Not a bug test. Just a stress test. The whole point was to put stress on the servers and see how they handled it. Just by trying to login you tested it.

Imagine logging in and replying this. Big Yikes. Look how much I don’t care as I go out of my way to respond and state on a public forum… Ironic lol.

will you guys still be handing out Beta access to older accounts?

Must have been a great test on the LOGIN SERVERS then, you know… the same login servers they use for every game…

They scope of the test was to test the zone capacity (and therefore, layering tech), they failed at the test scope.

They didn’t fail just because you didn’t get in. There were a huge amount of people that did get in.
