So to check for closed beta invite I have to this point checked the launcher. Friends I have that are in the closed beta said they didn’t get an email it just showed up on the launcher. Since the beta and stress test in the launcher is the same. Does this mean I will have to actually open the client to check if I have been flagged for closed beta access? Sounds like a pain!
I and many beta testers were getting ready to flood the AH with lowbie goodies in anticipation of the Stress testers flooding in on Wednesday, until we learned about the blue post from last night.

Restarted my laptop got excited as i saw a download then it said PTR not Beta Stress Test. Can we get a blue in here to tell us with an Stress Test email inv whats going on? Still cant install the stress test

we are all having this issue… im sure its something blizzard is working out… give it the evening and check back later or in the morning. doesnt matter until tomorrow afternoon

They’re letting you download in advance as not everyone has broadband sufficient to pull down 4 GB of data in just a couple hours, never mind a few minutes. Stress Test servers come online Wednesday afternoon.

It looks like emails are the way right now, so who knows, you could be invited but the launcher is scuffed atm. Rooting for you, check your emails!
If it says BFA Beta, you need to clear the cache on your battle.net client. Might want to try that anyhow.

I’m in, and ready; I can see the closed realm on my launcher, so I’ll just have to go to work and wait all day to go home and get online. Tirisfal here I come!

Their focus is trying to get everyone they can to be online during that 2 hour window. They’re even shutting down the Closed Beta servers during those 2 hours for it. They’re leaving it up after that so the Stress Testers can goof around and do whatever, and possibly see what other issues might crop up.
