Classic was 14.99 back in 2004.
Why should it be cheaper now? Be glad they haven’t raised the price and be glad you get two games in one.
You are ?
That doesn’t sound right.
Sucks to be paying for the full price when you are only interest in classic wow.
Are you sure ?
I’m 100% completely sure.
“Your,” is a possessive. Something belongs to you. Your cat, your car, your shoes.
ok well I will agree with you on this
Yep. They have said that.
Doesn’t make it believable.
Plucking prices out of their backside in response to the OP not wanting to have to purchase two products when they’re only interested in one isn’t really making a point.
Maybe she was too subtle. I got it though.
If you care about classic so much, why do you believe that it’s worth less than retail WoW? Shouldn’t you want classic to be treated equally to the current WoW at the very least?
It took a lot of money to remake wow classic. You pay for it.
But you will not get the full classic experience if you paid $4.99 per month.
I’m probably wrong. Nobody agrees with me. But in my opinion the only “reason” Blizzard brought back Vanilla is to shut up the constant barrage of “the old WoW was better” claims in the forums. Blizzard expects all those people to play Classic, decide it isn’t better, and go back to BFA…but complain less.
That only works if Classic is available to all current subscribers. In other words, Blizzard wants players to have BOTH, so players can honestly compare the two. Blizzard won’t put anything in the way of players having BOTH (like an extra charge).
Why was this necro’d? WoW classic shouldn’t have a reduced monthly sub cost period.
It’s not that I disagree with you, because in a way you’re correct if we assume that a lot more people will play Classic than those actually interested, BUT:
Blizzard made Classic because there was an overwhelming amount of players (over 1 million) playing vanilla private servers and they realized there was a market for it, despite them being personally against the idea.
That doesn’t mean that your point is invalid, though. I am also waiting to see how many people cry that it’s too boring or hard and go back to live. But it’s still going to be extremely successful regardless.
Yeah, we already know Wow classic is just included with your sub. So the thread is moot now.
Sucks to know that classic hype will flop after couple months when people realize how clunky and slow and boring Classic used to be.
Give it time, mark my words.
no one is saying the servers aren’t free by any means
yeah well considering how much WoW is making for Blizzard youd think they could find time and money to stop using the same servers they had in 2008 at least upgrade to something made this year with the lag spikes and tendency to crash it feels like they bought the server towers at a public auction from NCSoft when Wildstar went offline
Good news! There are two subscription options.
$14.99 retail sub that grants access to classic servers.
$14.99 classic sub that grants access to retail servers.
Though even better news, you can get both with just one order of $14.99.
On another note, how is it a classic feel if you’re not paying the classic price.
Sucks to be paying for full price when your only interest in classic wow
Seems to me that the more… correct… correction would be:
Sucks to be paying for full price when your only interest is classic wow
There are multiple ways to correct the source sentence grammatically, and none of them are what you came up with.
Blizzard made Classic because there was an overwhelming amount of players (over 1 million) playing vanilla private servers and they realized there was a market for it, despite them being personally against the idea.
Sorta.
Blizzard went ahead with Classic in part because it gives them better legal footing to go after and shut down illegal pirated servers, as those running the illegal servers can no longer make the spurious claim that Classic WoW is de facto abandonware.
