I can tell you this time is because Blizzard is based in Pacific time and that is when their employees would be at work. Has nothing to do with “global availability”

The button says “This game cannot be played yet.” when you hover your mouse over the button.

i heard the switch can use a keyboard and mouse with its dock usb ports in some games.
The Battle net launcher doesn’t work on windows XP, once they shifted to W10 they removed XP from their ports. mainly because in the past XP machines caused server load issues. Also people who mainly used XP machines used them to hack their on game client. thus the removal of the XP port.

Ridiculous time to be monitoring. Critical launch issues would be more prevalent at peak times. But wtf do I know! NOTHING! Just a overweight nerd living in his mums basement…

Thanks for repying, Merlina. I had live installed, but what I apparently didn’t have was the current version of the Battlenet launcher. This morning I uninstalled/reinstalled the launcher and, voila! There classic was, available for download.
Thursday will be my first and only chance to look at Classic before launch as I was not invited into the beta and missed the June stress test, so I was FRANTIC! Now all is well, and soon I will once again visit my beloved Azeroth.
To anyone else having the same issue, try logging out/logging back in to the launcher. If that fails, an uninstall/reinstall should take care of it.
Hope to see everyone in game. Can’t hardly wait.
I have beta version of the launcher. I am not in the Classic Beta.
Today, fired it up and selected Classic Beta, and had a down load for it, but not for Classic.
After download of beta, restarted launcher and selected Classic. No download available.
Selected Classic Beta and then went back and selected Classic again, and had a short download available.
Yes - chaos! -AND- Aug. 26th is my birthday! Pretty freaking sweet. We are planning Bday Cake, Beer & WoW Classic! 
Yeah, you have to have the current updated launcher. It’s easy to ignore the “There’s an update, restart to install!” messages.
what do i do with my other 30gb of ram and other 6 cores?
