Because the games being tied together creates unnecessary problems that aren’t good for either game. Tourists bring dead realms which causes them to add layering. Retail will have players only playing to earn enough for a token so they can play classic for free. Both communities are better off when the people actually want to be there.

Re-read what I wrote.
Having them bundled may be good for their blizzard numbers, and good for everyone who were already paying for retail, but it is bad for classic and those coming back solely for classic.
