I’m not playing dumb, no one did it back then so how the hell would we know? Hell, no one even ran dungeons for XP back then because we thought questing was better xp.
Do you even know what had to be done to get the potions to stack? Or you just read that it existed online and are making up conclusions over something you don’t understand?

I did this once because someone invited me into a group doing it in SM Graveyard. Thought it was retarded and the group I was with wasn’t going smooth enough to even make this worth it so I left after one run. I have no problem with this change. This didn’t seem like it was working as intended anyway. Getting very good XP/HR is still very much doable in a 5 man group anyway.

Playing with other players in an MMO is not an illogical step.
Ok… so here is some middle ground (I would prefer character bans)… roll back every character to the point they first abused this.
The abuse would occur when running an a 5 man in a raid for the 2nd time.

You have to delete all the gold they made too somehow because people will try to transfer it.
10 manning 5 man content when you have been speedrunning leveling as a group to get world first is completely illogical and only found late in which people saw that it was giving the same xp as a 5 man.
Under your ridiculous argument, a guy soloing a dungeon getting 100xp per mob, should scale to 20xp per mob with a 10xp bonus for 5 mans, how do you get the idea that it should scale to 10xp per mob with a 20xp bonus for 10 mans resulting in the same amount of xp with DOUBLE THE DPS. You are either playing devil’s advocate to the extreme, or so stupid you aren’t worth arguing with.
Or worse you exploited and are trying to justify your exploits.

People did it back then and yes we remember. It was easier to get a 10man for strat or scholo than it was to get a 5man at first, everyone was new and very few of us wanted to run with 5, so you’d fill out the group with a bunch of level 56-59s who got nearly nothing xpwise.

If you aren’t supposed to have 10 players in 5 man content than blizzard would of capped it. Blizzard deemed there was a bug it was too rewarding so they fixed it. No one who did it before blizzard deemed it as a bug exploited in any way.
You are drastically confusing allowed and inefficient, IT WAS ALWAYS INEFFICIENT to have 10 people vs 5. IT LITERALLY TELLS YOU THIS WHEN YOU MAKE A RAID. No one that abused this thought it was intended, NO ONE. Suspend them.

its not about having the 10 people in the 5 man. It is abusing the EXP bug… This is very simple.

it wasn’t deemed a bug until now. If someone does it now they are exploiting. if they did it before hand then it occurred by playing the game naturally and was not an exploit.
