Great info, are you able to clarify if there is a way to see who is using the mod and who is not, so players can decide whether or not they allow people using the add-on into their normally formed groups ?
wait so this is a publicly traded company thatās posting fan made material instead of making their own? ok cool I can dig that
Only if you use it yourself. Otherwise it just looks like regular interaction.
i think they said in the ama the other day that is the plan.
It actually is pretty much the normal way to find a group. All it actually does is cut out all the spam et al in chatt so you see people lfG for the dungeons etc you are interested in. You then have to send a message or an invite to people you see in the chatt.
And that right there is going to be the biggest issue for some, as they are opposed to it and want no part of seeing it become commonplace or needed.
Really? I read through it and didnāt see anything about realm forums. Iāll have to double check.
Streamlining the whole finding a group aspect of the game, and more importantly, reducing the need for conversation before hand which is commonly the foundation for making lasting connections to a community.
If I want to play a game where no one bothers communicating and expect everything to just be handed to me, I can go play Refail.
I was just pointing out what it does and how it works to some extent. My post was not meant to be a pro or con post. The main point is that the version for classic does not have an auto invite option. The video that is being show around is of an older version. The current one removed the auto invite opition
It wonāt take long for someone to add the 2 lines of code to make it auto invite again. This is why itās a slippery slope to go down.
I agree, if I want to play a game where I donāt need to bother communicating because not communicating became common place then I would play bfa.
Kaivax, when are we getting realm forums. Thanks.
Would really like to see Realm Forums brought back again. Classic is all about building tight knit communities, and I canāt see how Realm Forums donāt contribute something towards that goal.
Also, thanks for all the podcast links!
