Very excited to test this! Is there a specific reason why 58 was chosen as the testable level? Seems odd to not just do 60 with full talents.

They picked 58 so you can’t see how 1.12 AV ends in 15 minute rushes by level 60’s in blues from streamers. They know what they’re doing.

People want the old AV because they’ve seen what AV becomes when it’s in its nerfed state, and want none of it.

That’s exactly been my point too, why have the same AV pretty much that is already on retail? If we’re making a “classic” WoW shoudn’t AV be classic too?

They have a chance here to do something pretty special for the community, why not do it and take some chances…be like old Blizz… Not new disconnected from their community Blizz. If people want a 30 min AV they have retail, they have a place for them to go and play already, seems redundant to have another AV like that.

I really hope they right the ship with AV and also make sure Scholo and Strat are both 10 mans. These things matter to the community and can we please just do the right thing, not the easy thing here Blizz…even if that means delaying the release.

On the beta, there was no incentive to win fast so people would take their time and have fun.
But once you need honor and reputations, for sure it will be a zerg fest.

And honestly, I understand. The BG feels empty, it was barely fun for the streamers after having done a couple of them. This version is really not fun. I don’t understand why Blizzard is so committed to this version at the moment. They have the means to bring the older versions.

At least let us test it to prove us wrong. You owe it to your customers that are asking for it.

Not soon enough… I had a 4-day weekend and thought I’d have a decent weekend to seek out more bugs in beta. Little did I know I’d be testing out death mechanics in AV. I did about five AVs. The thing is, I don’t remember much about AV in vanilla. I only did it a few times and it was always a turtle. What am I supposed to use as my reference to identify what is and what isn’t working?

Not sure what you’re trying to prove here. You’re complaining that they chose to use your 4-day weekend to focus test AV? It’s going to happen. If you do not want to test it, nobody is forcing you to do so. It isn’t always about what you want to test. Sometimes the developers need feedback on other things.

Eh, if AV is a rush by both sides past each other I will play Classic to 60 with a character and then probably unsub. If I even last that long.

We had a war in the original AV. I know some were probably frustrated by 2+ hour AVs but it felt like such a battle. It was cool. All the other BGs were gamified, but AV felt like a real war.

I would hate to have 10 Man Scholomance! Although, it is vanilla…just don’t want any other chances to have another person rolling for that bow off the final boss XD.

Back on topic - yes…we need the OG AV. 1.12 is way to retail.

The only good thing from it is no reinforcements.

We want the mines to be important. Getting your flight officers, getting your riders to the field, upgrading your troops, collecting alliance blood to get Lok’Holar to the field.

Now…I am of two minds there: The Horde side of me…wants the alliance to still be as foolish as they use to be and Kite him to their leader where he one shots their leader and wins us the game. This has happened in several AVs.

On the other hand…I want it to be where that isn’t possible where he doesn’t target NPCs like it one update. Way to easy of a win once the elemental gods were summoned.

I want the blood bath…the ever constant push and pull of the field of war that made AV…FUN.

Much as we would like the original AV isn’t coming back. It’s 1.12 AV, that’s been known for some time.
