How long until dual spec is enabled? I can see that a lot of people want it, but the main reason I want to play this new server is because I missed the first launch of Classic in 2019 and I want to be able to play a version of the game that’s as close to the original experience as possible. I know there are Era realms, but those are filled with bots, the economy is inflated and I would like to experience TBC.
While we don’t know exactly what dual spec will look like yet, it’s not a great sign for keeping things close to the original, especially if it is a harbinger of further changes. But, still, maybe they’ll keep it restricted.
Will there be a way to keep your character in a classic server and NOT progress to TBC?
I remember there being an option to keep your character on a classic server when we had classic TBC and would really love this option again due to classic era having an extremely inflated market.
We need more info on the dual spec changes. It is a nice QoL change, but it removes the role of your character (a very important point in a RPG). I think it should be placed in cities (the same trainer that you can pay for Dual Spec, except you don’t have to pay anymore).
Dual spec as a druid player is a massive win!
Being able to feral about in the world, but also keep a healing off spec is huge!
That’s another point I was wondering about. Does this also mean that players will be expected to have multiple armor sets for end game?
A massive loss with these updates and it sets the precedence of devs listening to retail players complain about classic being “broken” and needing “fixing”.
Classic will end up as a SoD lite.
And need roll on everything!
Can only hope blizzard will implement it in the “spirit” of classic, rather than allowing switching in the open world.
Being in ungoro or silithus and having the ability to switch between farming and pure pvp spec at any time is insane.
No I’ll be in a guild.
Its a real shame. The “spec fluid” tourists win again. 20% will clear MC and even less there on out before they return to their retailized versions of the game.
This is absolutely disgusting. To hype us up about a true, unchanged* vanilla server, only to post crap like this days before release.
The repurcussions of the buff/debuff limits are wide reaching, so it boggles my mind why Blizzard would take this stance.
This is really disappointing.
Another massive issue is how easy content will be with debuff limit removed.
Bosses will go down even faster.
Will encounters be retuned to account for this? Are will we just be killing bosses in 15 seconds and thats the new normal.
Sadly the devs only listen to retail tourists who want the game to be easier and more accessible.
The same retail tourists who are unlikely to even get to level 60.
and if the GDKP banning carries over into Anniversary TBC and Wrath, it’s just win win winning.
Thank you Blizzard you’re doing the right thing byt implementing the basic QoL changes for us Dad and Mom gamers who don’t have nearly as much time to play.
Please also consider not changing talents or specs at all, but giving certain classes something to edge them up, such as a Paladin and a Shaman Taunt.
Have a good Launch week.
Guy doesnt even play the game and demands changes. This is the issue.
I love the announced changes but I am hoping for one more. Draenei and blood elves playable in vanilla.
They can even lock out shaman and paladin respectively if that is a big deal. I just want to play vanilla but with a draenei paladin.
What? No, that would not be classic even more! Wait for TBC
Why should I not get to play over a cosmetic choice?
