We need gdkp. this new classic will be failure without GDKP.
with blizzards track record, if they dont specifically say it, they will always use that as an excuse to not implement what they said they would
hell even when they do say it they still just backtrack without telling the public for little reason.
See:
shattrath raid
the entire farahlon zone
emerald dream like 12 times in vanilla-legion.
i still remember them hyping the crap out of emerald dream for multiple posts calling it "amazing endgame content’ and “compelling raid and beautiful zones” just for literally nothing to ever materialize, EVERY ED questline just ending in nowhere, the portals not doing anything, hyjal being closed off, and them just giving excuses for the next 18 years with one quest giving a green tinge during wrath, a lackluster raid in legion, ANOTHER mid raid in dragonflight, and green tinge to ashenvale in sod with them finally using some of the flower textures from the zones. transparent flower textures. Thats all we got after 21 years (since this was talked about in beta vanilla)
hyjal
most of sod
garrisons
Azshara crater TWICE
gurubashi catacombs
putting naxx 60 back in, which STILL hasnt been done outside classic realms despite them having the tech and the location
no we dont, go away
bro KT was downed on HC… MONTHS AGO
ya…but come on.
People were saying that crap to me when I said FRESH. Not Era, FRESSSSSSSSHH.
Let me make this very clear though. I HATE GDKPs. It’s not for me.
It’s also not inherently evil. I personally feel it increases gold buying and selling but there are certainly players that use GDKPs and don’t do either. I just don’t want to play in that environment.
If they had their own server that would be just fine with me. Wouldn’t bother me and I would never play on that server. I actually think it would make the anti-GDKP server even better since those players have their own place.
This seems pretty simple to me: Pug a raid, no gold involved. Simple, keep it moving.
You don’t have to be in a guild to pug a raid and it shouldn’t be a problem since, according to gdkp’ers, only the best of the best join these raids. Just keep ‘gold for gear’ out of it.
Kael’Thas, the other KT.
Again, they have their own server, and those are era servers. GDKP Does not need to be on the anniversary realms.
You also have your own server and thats SOD where gdkp is banned. I dare them to test their theory and make 1 of the anniversary realms gdkp eligible and the rest not and see who wants to play where. Because I guarantee you the GDKP server would have double or more the population elsewhere.
Almost everybody uses more than 1 spec. Raiding is not the only body of the game
Agreed 100%
Even if you don’t PvP, a lot of people enjoy playing other roles while raiding to fill a slot really needed in a pinch if your raid requires some filler spots. It keeps everything running more smooth when you know you have someone you can trust in important roles.
Look… I actually signed in to post this.
What in disasters name are you thinking of only throwing up 1 of each server at the start? I understand you may have more ready to deploy quickly, but this obviously takes ZERO lessons from when Classic relaunched in 2019.
Blizzard, I beg of you… please reconsider. Consolidations seem far smarter than trying to deploy one server at a time. Especially for groups of people attempting to play together again!
Please give us dual spec, huge QoL for everyone and makes finding tanks and healers for dungeons easier as well
This made me realize that if there is only one PvP realm then you’re out of luck if you want to play both factions on a PvP server, too. Hope they consider it
Not 100% on this, but servers afaik have not been faction locked for some time now.
Despite many of us asking them to be locked lol
Player feedback in Season of Discovery realms in NA and EU has largely been positive about this change, and it aligns with our internal findings.
wow. You kicked all GDKP players in Phase 2 then claim good feedback? that’s a typical selection bias in sourcing opinions.
GDKP Policy
In line with our policy enacted on Season of Discovery realms in NA and EU, we will not allow gold dragon kill point (GDKP) runs in Anniversary realms in the NA and EU regions.
Note: This policy will not be implemented in regions outside of NA and EU at this time, though we reserve the right to change this.
go spend your money with the Gold farms and Bots on the Asian servers
Our new Hardcore Anniversary realms will not progress to Burning Crusade Classic. Hardcore has always been focused on the Classic 1-60 journey, made truly viable and approachable thanks to Classic’s original mechanics and difficulty. Burning Crusade brings with it a level of challenge (and randomness) that we feel doesn’t fit Hardcore.
They’re hitting us with the “you think you want it, but you don’t” again, disappointing.
They’re hitting us with the “you think you want it, but you don’t” again, disappointing.
yeah, or the
“What you guys don’t have phones?!”
I swear it always feels like one step forward two steps back with these modern devs.
I think hardcore characters should be able to transfer to the PVP realm.
Slightly disappointed in this one. I think blaming GDKP is a scapegoat for the real problem, which is bots and gold buyers allowing to run with impunity. I would much rather see Blizzard come up with solutions regarding the bots especially, and I find it hard to believe there are no solutions given how incredibly obvious they are.
The skeptic in me thinks you are allowing the problem to fester because you can profit from the bot subs, which means you’re deliberately trading in game experience for $$$. This stance continues to disappoint me.
I think GDKP without gold sellers would be pretty interesting, people actually have to farm and save and earn the gold for their gear? That would be cool.
But no, bots pay their subs too I guess.
