True lol, maybe whales will keep it alive far longer than it should be.

At the very least Blizz gives us something to do with the $15 a month we spend lol

the only way for wow to truly bring in a lot of new players would be to alienate even more. they would have to stop trying to create the game to cater to 10 different target audiences, and laser focus on one. you cant be the best at everything, so why try? all it does is alienate everyone to a lesser degree, which is apparently what they are choosing to do.

You can skip content in 14, problem is I hate that 14 forces players into dungeons for the MSQ when dungeons should be entirely optional and the dungeons should give worth while gear.

That’s exactly what Ion said almost 10 years ago. Are you Ion?

Yeah and it’s worse when you are lock-out of skill you already have access to because the Dungeon locks you to that Level range including abilities! its a real pain… but like I said… even the Dungeons you got to do cuz STORY!

People asking for Red Mages to rez them when the Dungeon is 60-64 not knowing that we get the skill at 65 is a classic example!

EDIT: Wait I think you skip dungeons too if you pay for a Story Skip no?
I never use one so I Don’t know… since having alts is kinda not necessary unless you want too, specially now that you can travel to any server for free to play with your friends.

This game is as confusing as “Go Fish” or “Uno”. This sounds like a personal problem.

Sure thing, chippie. Whatever gets you through the night, as long as what gets you through the night seems to be looking down on people who never played a videogame before. Or because it’s their own fault they haven’t been playing videogames at the highest competitive level for decades.

lol imagine thinking you need decades of gaming experience at the highest competitive level to have a basic understanding of WoW.

They’ve been saying it for about 18 years.

I just imagine 40 years in the future, the last WoW server shutting down. One of those people in their nursing home whispering, “See? Told you so.”

Maybe there aren’t that many new players who like mmorpgs?

Great point.

Dont make friends. Dont find a guild.

That is the better advice.

They’ve been saying it since birth of the game.

Based on what?

There’s tons of slower MMO’s to get into that takes ages to pick up. Sideeyes Fanta Finality 7+7

WoW is pretty twitch in comparison. Esp since they butchered the scaling so hard that low levels hit harder then high levels.

All it took was the entire genre to literally become unpopular and every new game to fight over a 10m playerbase like geese in a pond.

The point is the game is 20 years old, the people that play the game in 2024 are anti-social and primarily care about how their time is affected by a fraction of a second and can’t be bothered to make conversation at the end of the day.

You can’t make friends if everyone is anti social hypocrites. Guilds aren’t any different, can’t make friends or do anything with them if they outright refuse to make conversation.

At the end of all this, its a player made problem that can only be solved by players, why do you think we got LFR? And why do you think you see posts about gatekeeping? “Me Me Me, my time is 1,000 times more precious than yours and I don’t care if you have less time than me to play the game”

Serious note, MMORPGs have and will always be about the players that make up the community, if there’s no community there is no game to be had.

Why is the OP reported :skull:. It’s kinda known that MMORPGs is now more of a niche genre because it’s main unique selling point of multiplayer gamemodes has become a common occurrence in gaming without the grinding and investment. Like a lot of my younger relatives don’t even know what an MMO is, let alone Warcraft
