Why don’t they just make it reasonable for a casual (by time) player to just get many of the things through 1/2 participation? I like that it won’t go away but the drip feed FOMO content gameplay currency grind is old.
Way to take a fun anniversary event and turn it into an overloaded nightmare.
Take notes from ff14 on anniversary events. The constant need for engagement metrics in this game is what drives people away. We don’t need to fly around killing multiple world bosses every day and clearing out old raids. We just want to be rewarded for our time the last 20 years with our tier sets.
Oh goodie, yet another currency in game.
nah once I can get all mounts from the vendor ill be done, dont care about the pokemon Or the toy story toys only care about the 4 mounts off the vendor
I’ll probably just use my saved badges for what you can directly buy right away. No thanks to the timegate rewards.
Translation:
We don’t actually care about the players or that they have fun.
We just want to milk you for as much game time and play time metric for our investors.
The fact you actively acknowledge it will not be possible to get everything in the event even if you play every day this year tells me you have gotten so beyond out of touch with your playerbase.
So now instead of having fun, we have to pick and choose what “rewards” we get to have and what ones we’ll have to wait for another year.
Not really an anniversary celebration, eh?
Currency should be increased, people have told you this on the PTR over and over.
The first tier 2 set should be given free for playing during the anniversary. How are you doing the 20th anniversary and somehow leaving out the free item that major anniversaries give us and putting EVERYTHING on a vendor instead?
It’s considered the best Paladin set by many. I think the secondary winners are Rogues and Warriors.
Hunters are the losers here, there’s no avoiding that lol. Their armor would look better on an Evoker.
Tbh, I’m going after the Monk and DK sets myself, maybe the DH one too.
The classes that didn’t exist back when T2 existed, all got really cool sets.
Personally though, the anniversary doesn’t look all that exciting to me, it’s just more of the same. Grind-fest, seems like a ton of work for the rewards.
I’m excited for the BRD raid, but idk how long that’ll last.
Can’t wait for this! Ten whole weeks of excitement
I always liked the rogue T5.
No thanks. What’s the point of collecting anything when you’ll just delete it and then say it can’t be restored.
wow its like for every good idea that you idiots manage to make you also insist upon making half a dozen really stupid ones.
Do we get another statue? (Like the 10th Anniversary one.)
So you are going to make what should be an amazing and fun event into a tedious grind. This event, being a huge milestone, should have been so much fun, but your current Dev team decided to turn it into a massive time played metrics exercise.
can you please just give us wrath and tbc classic servers?
that’ll be a nice celebratory gift…pleeease i miss tbc.
I fell in love with the Dragonstalker set when I saw it on a Blood Elf. It might be the only T2 set I like. If it’s upgraded to look much better I’ll try to get it. As for the rest? Not sure.
HOT TAKE:
It makes the Paladin look like a Warlock. Which… is there a starker contrast in two character classes? To say nothing of the further observation on that fact: it’s a plate set … that looks like cloth! lol
I’ve never understood the draw of the Pally T2 for that reason.
I’m accept that I must be the ONLY person that feels this way, but … I’d rather be honest than just nod in agreement with everyone.
It’s the inquisition plate. The only set that resembles heavy Scarlet Crusade armor so it’s a fan favorite among bigots and lovers of torture.
FOMO stuff or some sort of prestige thing . Its like the purple delve mount that sucks since you can’t customize it , but you see plenty of ppl using it
We always lose in the tier set lottery.
I mean it looks okay but it’s nothing that stands out to me and says “Omg I have to have that!” Maybe I’m just not the typical WoW player that cares about this stuff that much. I honestly couldn’t tell you where most peoples xmog comes from and don’t care. I just toss stuff on if I think it’s funny or looks okay honestly.
I’m an anomaly, a quirk in the programming that is the WoW Matrix.
And the void blimp is cool but it would be wild if you could customize it a bit more.
