Frankly I wont be surprised if they do switch to smaller more regular content updates, it would be almost like a production line. I mean if Bethesda can do it for ESO why not Blizzard for WoW?
I count 8⌠but numbers can be hard for some people I guess.
Thereâs no point of having a wow 2 la.
Simple mobile game liek Candy crush banking on 50 years old women still makes more money than wow.
They will just update engine in the next expansion for loyal fanbase until the fans die of old age maybe.
Yeah they could do it, I agree. Again, I think more likely some change like that than a new game.
WoW 2 would be a lot of fun, if it was outsourced to some other company and development team that doesnât include timegates and forced timesinks, but itâs never going to happen.
While I would like to play a whole new world full of new content⌠I think were just going to get endless expansions like Everquest does, but with endless systems and hurdles in the way of enjoying them.
This is because Blizz decided to go the route of increasing the level cap with every expansion. All the old content becomes obsolete, effectively deleting the effort they put in to making it, especially when they create weird arbitrary systems with every one released that people always hate anyway.
Imagine if they had decided to never increase the level cap with any expansion, and just kept it at 60 forever, like other MMOs used to do. How different this game would have beenâŚ
ya that would be help bring more people .
WoW is nowhere near needing to shut down to hash out a WoW 2. the original FF14 was absolutely horrible and after 2 years they shut it down to work on it over the following 3 years before it was re-released in 2015⌠6 years later they have a steady 2.something million players⌠2 million players is considered a low point for WoW meaning our high points carry us pretty far. if trends continue there wonât be legitimate talk about a WoW 2 by Activision Blizzard for another 3-4 expansions⌠and even still theyâd never shut down currently WoW because there will always be enough people playing/paying to make it feasible.
