I actually was unsubbed for about a year and was still able to use my server’s forum, which was pretty much the only one I cared about besides World’s End. If the forums were to go entirely, I’d have one less reason to stay, but it likely wouldn’t be the final straw.

There’s still reddit, mmo-champ, and Discord.

I’m just saying the ship would really be going down if they closed the forums.
It would be a huge detriment but… Given that a good majority of changes don’t really seem to be made in the game by voicing it here means it won’t have that much of a impact if they shut it down. Reddit and even twitter apparently has more vocal power to demand or give feedback in the game.
So personally, no, I wouldn’t.
I like the forums. It’s nice to have a dedicated discussion space like this that isn’t just a subreddit. But ultimately I’m not subbed for the forums. I’m subbed for the game, even if I don’t spend as much time with it each expansion as I used to.
Anyone who is ACTUALLY subbed only for the forums has some kind of problem, IMO.
I’m not saying you’re wrong but I personally don’t see how that would happen ASSUMING nothing else happened 
If they just shut the forums down everything should be fine but if they do something extra stupid like make all raids tuned for 40 man or idk disable guild chat or something wacky like that and then they shut the forums down to silence players that would be different.
And especially stupid since I’m willing to bet 13 of my fingers that Reddit or MMO-Champ or Discord gets more traffic than the official forums. So it’s not like they are going to completely silence the community they are just not going to have it here.

For many years I actually stopped using the forums. Only recently came back.
I would not unsubscribe. I would just start posting in whatever Warcraft forum that most
players would migrate to like maybe Reddit or MMO champion.
