…bullied? I don’t think I pay attention to someone’s race in game like ever. Maybe in the first few years of WoW it was fun to crack gnome and dwarf and orc zug zug jokes… but now? Meh. Do what you want. No one’s gonna make fun of the mechagnome slaughtering them in the meters and not dying to simple mechanics.

If Nightborne didn’t exist, I would be a Mechagnome!
As you should be. People will not like seeing you for playing this race, because it stands for everything what’s wrong with the Alliance. For some insane reasons the developers thought that an amputee race is suitable for the players. Mechagnomes also lack good RP-choices. You can’t use their weapons on a Mechagnome (Warrior, Fury cannot wear 1-hand) and otherwise their weapon choices are limited transmog-wise. And this also goes for the transmog in general.
Your race should have never made in the first place but just being a customization option for the gnomes. The slot was wasted on this race. You’re an afterthought for the developers as well. I once had two Mechagnomes and race-changed one of them, because the actual options for them are too limiting. I would love to play a Fury Warrior for the Alliance but you can’t even wear the 1-hand weapons based on their design.
Mechagnomes are great, don’t let the common rabble influence your decision.

Hell yeah, that’s a great name! I got the name He for my gnome warrior.
Also screw the haters. Both types of gnome are wonderful. They have a delightful running animation, and the mecha version also makes a cool whirring noise!

Yes. It’s not common but it happens from time to time.
It’s fine being smol, but mechagnomes aren’t worth it.
In their current state, no. I prefer Leper Gnomes. Plugger is 1 of my favorite NPC’s.
If they give them better customization options to be more full robotic or armor sets that they make them more appealing like King Mechagon’s stylish crown. Yes, I would play one.
Their racial are but the mog restrictions are horrid.
I choose races based on looks and not racials. I could care less if it has the best racial. If it looks good, it’s good.
Don’t let other peoples’ opinions dissuade you from doing whatcha wanna do. If there are people out there that actively and genuinely hate on mechagnome/gnome players in any other capacity than silly banter, they have way bigger problems than you need to concern yourself with friend.
It do be a video game, you pay your sub, play what floats yer goat.

I think I got teased a little for being a gnome but not in a bad way. It’s just a funny race lol.
I will say one great thing about mechagnome…if your into creating a story for your character or anything like that, there is so much you can do with them because they are so unique! 
While I would agree with this normally, we also need to recognize that the damage done to the Alliance is irreparable, because the Horde-bias of the developers simply put them into the position.
No one in their right mind would give a customer such a player race in comparison to the Vulpera. Not only are they underdeveloped, far more, compared to the Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren, they are also genuinely hated and called one of the main reason, why the Alliance got High Elves options in return.
