The only reason I even suspect Kalec may be on the chopping block is because Khadgar is involved in the story. Like why drag him into the story in such a prominent way? He’s obviously meant to have some significance so I think either him or Kalec is meant to bite the big one and that serves as a powerful narrative moment for the other in some way. Like I said above, I can see Kalec dying and the blue dragonflight doing something arcane to transform Khadgar into a true dragon and he become aspect or I can see Khadgar getting killed or sacrificing himself in some way to push Kalec’s story in some big way.

Here is how I think it will play out:
Kalec will try to stay in his BE/Human form, because as a dragon he will be too dangerous.
We will go on some pve world quest to try and “save” him, probably with the sands of time.
Fail, need to do another raid.
Kalec will sacrifice himself to save mawmiestrazza.
We all QwQ here in teh forumz.

I expect we’ll still get it. Either way the Murozond story arc will be dealt with this expansion. It’d be insane not to.
Then we’ll get some bubbly speech from Chromie about looking to the future as she takes on the role of the aspect of the bronze dragonflight.

Well it would kind of not work if Death Knights were the only class prevented from completing the MSQ. that’s a narrative problem of their own making. best to just not read into it imo
