I’m a R Druid main who has been toying around with an H Pally alt and I’ve been reading this forum and been absorbing people’s takes. I wanna share my idea’s on a brief list of changes that I think would get H Pally to a better spot as I do agree that they are quite a bit behind in terms of power(especially in raid but I’m more so a M+ guy).
First. For the Rank 1 portion of our Apex talent, Beacon of the Savior(BoS), change the logic on who this is placed on and scan much more frequently to ensure it’s moving at an appropriate pace for high key M+ or Mythic Raiding content. I’d want it to work something like this.
I. Every 0.5 seconds(1 second maybe okay) move the BoS to the lowest HP party/raid member
II. If BoS is currently on a target that is at or under 35% HP, ignore the move command and stay on current target until their HP goes above 35%.
III. If a friendly has BoS on them and they reach 100% HP by any means do an immediate search for the lowest HP party/raid member.
Second. Delete the “Seraphic Barrier” capstone talent out of the game, move Empyrean Legacy down to that slot. Cause the Empyrean Legacy effect to defacto occur on WoG/EF cast without the conditional of requiring a Judgement crit. Put a new talent in the slot where Empyrean Legacy used to be.
Thirdly. I’m not sure if this is truly the case but I’ve heard people say that there are multiple bugs causing certain stuff not to transfer as Beacon healing, if that is so then clean it up to where all healing that is done of any type is transferred to our regular beacons and our BoS. Related, I’m unsure if it’s the case but if if our BoS is on a target that has a regular Beacon then they should get the full benefit of both of the healing transfers, a.k.a. we should get a double dip on the transfer of healing on a double Beacon’d target if we’re not already getting it.
Fourth. Aura Mastery feels like a very underwhelming “Big CD” both in effect and visually. I would cause it to grant you Divine Purpose and Infusion of Light buffs on cast and every 4 seconds for the duration(3 total buff events). And give it a flashy visual where you radiate out light or something to make it feel cool. This should just be baseline built into the spell, no extra talent points should be spent for this effect.
Lastly. Keep the Healing Absorb portion of Light of the Martyr as that is the whole point of the talent thematically and effectively(you’re sacrificing yourself a bit to help others out, being a “martyr”), but get rid of the part about beacon healing not working to clear the healing absorb.
What do you guys think of these changes? Too strong, not enough?
