Wine isn’t a hack, all it does is translate libraries (i.e., replaces Windows libraries with Linux equivalent libraries, from what I understand).
Either way though, I’d like official Linux support. I doubt we’ll ever see it though but it’d be nice (I’m playing on Linux right now; runs fine most of the time (no worse than it is on Windows, at least for me; though that’s likely part of why we won’t get official support, since it’s “good enough” as is)).
