I reached out to a few GMs over the past few months due to an error I have from wow tokens & GM’s have told me to post here.
Sorry to the mods if this is in the incorrect spot so please move it if need be.
In the past I had a 12 month wow sub where you get all the cosmetics / mounts etc. loyalty rewards right? Well… I had some spare gold and decided lets buy another year of wow for with gold by purchasing wow tokens off the AH.
When I did this since my CC was near expiring, I just went and canceled my active subscription to get my CC off file.
Well… Even though my game time now is like +2 years plus I have a handful of tokens sitting in my bags.
There was no warning about loss of loyalty… when I always looked at wow tokens as if you earn them in game why not keep your active players more active?
I get that this is probably not a common issue but when you can turn your game time back on from 100% inactive with a wow token… Why is having a sub greater than 1 year + tokens any different then an active sub…
Are you talking about the rewards they give for doing the 6/12 month subs? I’ve read this post three times and I’m not totally sure what the question is, only thing I can think of is the rewards offered for paying for 6 or 12 months at a time if that’s the loyalty mentioned?
If it is, my guess is it’s different because you technically don’t have to pay for the tokens, gold’s easy enough to earn and keep your account active purely off of gold, and there’s nothing requiring you to buy multiple at a time. My guess is it’s as they’ve done since back in the day, hoping to rope people into buying a LOT of game time at once, I know I went with it back in the day when they bundled Diablo III, I’m also equally sure I burned out on WoW well before the time ran up, so that was just wasted money on my part, old guild fell apart, etc etc, boring story.
I think I might understand as you were not billed for 6months you do not get the new mount as you bought a shiitake number of wow tokens to the point in both of our cases we are set to not pay sub until 2025. I mean wow charges 20$ per token and 15$ per month so I guess alot of people are just using cooldowns on crafting and selling stuff to get gold so they dont pay subs,
This is their way of dumping you off, knowing full well no one at Blizzard is going to do anything. This is assuming they look at the thread in the first place.
The Wrath token isn’t the same as the retail. You can’t convert it into Battle.net balance so it has no intrinsic value outside of its in game use keeping the value low.
