Hey everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to report this! So far we aren’t aware of any specific problem that would prevent WotLK Classic from launching after the patch, so let’s try a couple of steps to rule out common launching issues. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, you can try launching the game in Windowed mode with these steps:
- Open the Battle.net App and select the game.
- Click the Settings (
) button next to Play. - Select Game Settings.
- Check the Additional command line arguments box under Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
- Type -Windowed in the box and click Done.
- Restart the game.
If that doesn’t fix it, reset your in-game options to resolve potential problems related to your specific settings. If you have no luck, please try any steps you haven’t already tried on this support page.
If the problem continues, please post a ‘DxDiag’ so we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:
- Press Windows Key + R.
- Type DxDiag and press Enter.
- In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
- Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
- Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the DXDiag. It’ll look like this:
