This lvl squicsh has screwed over the ability to get the best gear
when you just enter it.
Because of that I am going to delete my toon and start it over.

because lvling up is so fast now i accidently bypassed lvl 80.

I wanted the best armor of each lvl to help when I am max so I do not have to go farming for low level clothing

Ah yes. You level so quick you’re out leveling your gear and not replacing it at the same pace.

You should be groovy regardless of the gear you have as you level, truly. Doing either quests or Dungeons should yield enough gear to all you to satisfactorily progress to max level.
It is a bit jarring how fast leveling is compared to years passed, that’s for true, but you should be good with an item level (ilevel) near your character’s level.
As I surmised yes I am going to delete my character.
What I hate is how the retro food and stuff isn’t leveled properly. My level 17 pandaren can easily make the panda food herself but she needs to be level 32 to eat it.
Also because of the squish, the high level panda food actually gives more stats than the low shadowlands food. That and they keep nerfing food buffs despite cooking being like, consistently good and everyone can take it.

Speedy leveling, scaling mobs, improper connections between what you can buy/sell/make and how you can’t even use it in the content your doing. All indicators that they have abandoned all previous content. I saw it all happen with the squish and chalked it up to them getting it all ready for SL launch.
Well launch has come and gone and we still get →
Game - “Hey your lvl 10, go to BFA”
Player - “Sounds good!! Hello Mr. BFA food vendor. Whatcha got for me?”
Lvl 10 vendor - “Well I have food stuffs you can’t eat for 35 levels.”
Now imagine your a new player. What in the world do you even make of that?

My level 80 woke up at level 30.
My level 20 guardian got an ilvl 25 life relic in a dungeon. But can’t equip a life relic until level 45, at which point that piece will be useless. There’s loads of items out there that have a level requirement that is not in the tooltip. And my level 35 picked up an 8 slot bag that has a level requirement of 35. That’s way beyond stupid.
Could you elaborate on that? I’m confused because when you’re at max level you’ll be equipping max level gear, not i-level 35/40. I’m pretty sure i-level 35 is close to the limit for the old level 80 (now level 30) because that’s what I’m wearing on this character that I used for the Herald of the Titans achievement. It might be a little more depending on what drops in ICC now.
But yeah, what’s the actual point of getting max level 30 gear for when you hit level 60? I’m stumped.

LOl. When someone has a vague idea about the game, but totally don’t know what they are talking about.
At first a thought that all raids would basically drop end game gear because of how timewalking works, but the leveling squish is more or less just a proportion. Yup leveling gear don’t matter. You will just replace it constantly, which is fine. No need to stress about it. Or you can turn off XP if you are shooting for twinks.
Okay cool but why are you doing this? I’m not following the logic here.
