Blizzard put effort into making something no one asked for. The decisions Blizzard makes are legit childish. They always refuse to commit and instead make some half baked, divisive compromise that ends up satisfying no one. The “group finder” is about 1% better than simply forming a group from a chat channel. It’s clunky and bad. The actually put effort into making something that is basically, a mediocre user interface for a chat channel.

Yet you are inflating the tool to act as if without it you cant do any content.

I wasn’t aware dual talent Specialization, juggernaut critical strike chance at 25% (it was 100% on launch) and a bunch of other spell changes, existed at launch.
Oh wait. They DIDN’T. We’re not talking about releasing content early ffs, so why bring that up?

Rdf is a method for interacting with said content so it is relevant to content.
I never did that and neither did my friends. For dps I usually had a queue of 30 to 40 minutes. Why would anyone do nothing for 40 minutes. Rdf made it possible to go out into the world and quest or farm for those 40 minutes because you didn’t have to spam or monitor the lfg channel. Didn’t people know that if they spent that 40 minutes out in the world instead of doing nothing while they waited they would get xp, mats for professions or to sell, a green item or maybe even a blue item to use or to sell?

Ummm… yeah, kinda’ like dual spec and the way spells and abilities work. And then of course there’s boosting which allows you to skip content.

But RDF itself is not in fact content.
It is merely a tool to access content, a tool which works on all dungeons, further showing it itself is in fact not content.

But it is content to an extent, using the tool gives gear, emblems, experience, exc that you wouldnt get just doing the dungeon.

It is literally not content. The content you access is exactly the same whether you get there through RDF or otherwise.

It is a form of contet to a degree because using it gives you rewards. Its content to the same degree doing the heroic daily is content.
now youre circling back on yourself. you have now failed to achieved terminal troll velocity and have proven yourself to simply wanting to fight and not having any footing to stand on.

And that it is relevelt to content because it is a method for interacting with content.
You can go kill hogger without the quest and thats content, you can also go get the quest to kill hogger and kill him, with a bonus reward of finishing a quest which is a method to encourage you to partake in content. The quest itself is also content because it gives rewards for doing it outside of the standard loot drop/experience for killing hogger.
Rdf works like a quest to that degree because of how its designed, the bonus rewards, exc. Its just behind a UI interaction instead of a quest interaction.
And at the end of the day if the rewards were left on the quest givers very few people would care.
Or for that matter if the rewards left on the quest givers or available from RDF would be even better.

Anyway, the OP’s entire premise is wrong. Removing RDF was clearly not a design decision. It was a business one, and a bad business one.

I keep changing how i am saying it, but not what i am saying because you seem to be having trouble understanding.
I will put it as simply as i can for you step by step.
Do you consider daily quests a form of content yes or no?
If yes are you aware that the daily heroic quest got moved into rdf effectively turning it into a quest?
So rdf daily bonus is a quest. Which is content.
This is a great argument against LFR but not so much against RDF.
I think WOTLK hit the mark perfectly with RDF and no raid finder.
Just cap the badges, don’t cap the fun. Some of us love spamming dungeons 12 a day is a very low cap. Back in the day you could only queue for a specific Heroic dungeon once and to get that one again you would have to get lucky through the RDF system (you probably know this, just saying).

I could care less about the badges, I just want the tool so the fun can begin.
This may be a good point, but I dislike questing. Outside of Ring of Blood once with real life friends, I do not participate in group quests. Well, I avoid questing as much as possible. I prefer interacting with players in RDF groups over killing x spiders for x items.

I did that, and I want to do it again. Blizzard may be describing me when they think some people will sit in town and wait for a queue (because I will at least half the time). I wasn’t really afk in town, I was participating in the only balanced pvp in wow, the auction house.
The thing is, if I cannot do that Blizzard will not be getting money from me (why does Blizzard feel it is okay to tell me how to play anyway ?). I have already unsubscribed and have like 20 days left to complain on the forums. I plan on making my opinion known.
