[WotLK] Let's talk Dungeon Finder

The argument always seems to boil down to this. RDF is bad because everyone would use it. Everyone would enjoy the convenience offered by RDF so much that it would be wildly popular and widely utilized that I would be forced to use it too. Because why wouldn’t I want the same conveniences as everyone else?

If it’s so great that you can’t stop yourself from using it, kind of sounds like a good thing.

explain to me how you are forced to use something you can choose not to use? also explain to me how people you dont play with, people you wouldnt invite to your group, people you have no contact with, people you dont want in your group… explain how them being grouped with each other to play their game somehow affects your game SOOO MUCH that you have to take their game away from them so you can enjoy yours?

edited because it just became clear to me:: you dont want them to be able to do that because that removes your ability to feel superior to other players when you get to tell them “NO, you cant run with us because (insert any number of insulting phrases from your class sucks to your gear isnt what we require or we dont want you boomers in our groups”

So world buffs were a good thing, got it…

If you have to travel 10 miles and you have the option of using a walking or using the convenience of the car, which would you use? The car saves time, but it has a cost to it, gas, insurance, having a drivers license, exc. It has costs to having it and using it, but its very convenient.

If your guild can’t clear the content without world buffs, then I guess it’s a lucky thing they were there to give you an extra boost.

hmmm that would depend on what im doing… if im camping and hiking then i would choose to hike the 10 miles.

if im taking my family to the mall… yeah goin in the car.

if i feel the need to take a break from all the nutjobs on the forums? probablly walking lol.

its all situational but it still, even in your example… boils down to CHOICE. you can choose the easy road or the hard road and i wont be upset by your choice either way, personally i would just be happy you HAD A CHOICE. i wouldnt rush in and tell everyone around me including you that you have to walk, even though your car is sitting there, because i want you walk, and i feel you should walk. no no, give me your keys, im not allowing you, an adult, to choose your path, im making that call for you.

im guessing you would be fully accepting of the government coming in and telling you what to do, how to do it, where to do it, when to do it, and when your done, go sit over there and listen to us talk for 4 hours. and yeah, you dont get a choice, just deal with it.

Wasnt a matter of clearing, was a matter of being more efficient to save the group time/effort.

you take a game far too seriously and thats the problem, ITS A GAME, get over yourself. i shouldnt have to change my playstyle to make you happy because you feel obligated to do something you have a choice not to do. now your comparing real world to virtual mmos? dude, maybe you need to step away and live in the real world for awhile and remember what freedom of choice truly means.

So, are world buffs part of the Classic experience or not? Would you prefer them to release a Vanilla Classic without world buffs?

Says the person who is throwing a fit for not having the gane exactly how you want it.

You dont have to, rdf isnt in the game, so the playstle isnt changing.

Sure i would prefer no world buffs, which i believe classic erra has for raids now, but i wasnt demanding the game be changed that way simply because i didnt like that aspect of the game.

So you’re willing to accept RDF being implemented precisely how it was in Wrath as long as it isn’t implemented until the original patch it showed up in?

Accept it? Yes.

Like it? No.

But it definitely doesn’t belong in at launch.

Well, at least you’re consistent. I’ll give you that.

Which is dumb because its not going to be out as long. Put it in from the start and be done with it blizz

yes the playstyle is being changed, IF i want to play wrath im not being given a choice, im forced to play the way you folks from vanilla want the game. whereas wrath was NEVER vanilla, shouldnt be vanilla, and i should have a choice of which way to play. and im not throwing a fit at all, but you seem to get all insults and defensive when i point out the lack of validation you anti rdf’ers get in real life and feel the need to get through a video game.

Except wotlk didnt have rdf for more than it did. The playstle for the majority of wotlk was no rdf.

Didnt say they did anything, you said there was no community and there absolutely is regardless if you like the environment or not. It’s like being in a township … you are part of the community and whether you do anything or not within it doesnt change that fact.

You talk alot of nonsense yet you seem to fail to think about RDF as it was then. When it was introduced it had rewards tied to the heroics that were for tier 8 (with downgrade of an emblem) tier 9 and tier 10 ilvl items. Heroics can not exist in rdf if it was put in from the beginning. Now, normal dungeons, 100% could because the rewards given for them is fine at the beginning. Im game for that as it would eventually become the exact same tool but would have split up its functionality due to how it was coded to work for the time it was implemented. How’s that?

The only people who accept that are on the larger to mega realms. It’s like giving a big middle finger to the medium to small realms. What you’re saying is “I got mine, ef you” Most of my ats are on atiesh so rfd would work fine there without cross realm. But I’m not like you. I won’t give a big middle finger to the smaller realms and tell them, “I got mine losers, ef you.”
