Doesn’t seem like there was any glitch or bug. Starting to just think people are afraid to admit how scummy blizzard is at this point. Really crappy thing for them to pull but they won’t change it.
Per blue post linked in OP. Note the bolded part:
"Apologies for the confusion here. The previous post announcing the Season 5 end date was unfortunately incorrect. The end of Arena Season 5 will function much like Arena seasons 1-4 in Burning Crusade Classic functioned.
On Monday Jan 9th at 10 p.m. PST Arena Season 5 will end (in the US region) and the following will occur:
- Arena Points costs for Deadly Gladiator gear will be halved, and all rating requirements will be removed from Deadly gear.
- Note: The only exception to this is the Deadly Gladiator’s Tabard which will retain its 2300 rating requirement, but it will also have its Arena Points cost reduced by half after January 9th. After Season 6 begins* however, your Season 5 rating will be wiped and this tabard will no longer be available. If you would like to own this and qualify for it, you should purchase it as soon as possible after January 9th.
- Savage and Hateful Gladiator gear will only be available for honor and the honor cost of these items will be reduced as well.
- Savage and Hateful Gladiator gear that can already be purchased with Emblems of Heroism and Valor will not have their emblem cost reduced and will cost the same amount as they have throughout season 5.
- The overall availability of Valor emblems should go up significantly in Season 6, with Valor moving to Heroic dungeons. Valor may also be converted to Heroism emblems at the appropriate vendor in Dalaran.
*Please note that we aren’t ready to announce a start date for Season 6 yet, but you will have at least one full week after January 9th to spend your Arena Points. When Arena Season 6 begins at that later date, the normal conversion of Arena Points to Honor will occur.

Specifically says that it’ll work like TBC (where you got your final cap) and that you’ll have a week to spend them. We didn’t get AP for this last week, we directly got Honor Points, and the existing Arena Points we had still remain.

The issue with the week of 1/3 - 1/10 Arena Points converting to Honor is an error and we are looking into it right now. I don’t have anything concrete to report at this moment, but we are aware of the issue and actively working on a resolution.

My honor was maxed at 75k and I just thought I got no arena points. This fix would give me an additional deadly item.

Some guildies stated their honor was reverted and arena points awarded already and I’m still waiting on all of my characters. Must be fixing this issue in batches.

Sounds good. Thanks Aggrend. I just checked and still have only honor instead of Arena points. Happy to hear this was a bug and not intended.
May I note to just make Deadly Gear cost Honor? Its the most simple fix and It’s not like its bad for the game to have people in gear from a season that is now over to continue into the new one.

Especially since furious gear is going to be increased ilevel, the new deadly for honor would help out a lot.

having the same problem… ive been honor capped on both of my 80s for awhile now and havent had a single thing to buy and was really looking forward to buying more deadly gear this week on both of them and i literally spent a few hours queueing last night to receive ZERO reward??? this is a slap in the face and needs to be addressed.
How about giving everyone a free month of game time for this egregious error? I was literally shaking thinking about missing out on my arena points.

So I got my arena points finally but I only received 700 points with a 2k rating in 3v3? That’s like, way lower than it should be. Arena calc’s saying around 1380. Seems like another issue?
Sounds like the old points rate before it was buffed in TBCC
The PTR blue post mentioned also trying to refund approximately half of the arena points spent last week as a result of their initial post about points being converted to honor. That might be what your 700 is from if you bought any Deadly gear last week. You should still get your points from last week’s games once they fix THAT issue as well.

got honor points instead of arena points this week was counting on those AP to complete my deadly set before new season, I did 20+ games in 3s and 5s 1600+cr wtffff
really hoping this honor I got is from refund and not my arena points being converted, I have other friends online saying they got arena points
