The profession/crafting system is still terrible imo. This should be addressed by Blizzard but they obviously don’t care.
I think theyre ‘ok’ if you have ONE character to focus on.
For those of us with alts, its absolute murder. lol
Professions have a system of knowledge points, you know the systems we were promised wouldn’t exist in DF. These are terrible because you can never catch up to those that have been doing the system from the jump. You also can not retalent your points for reasons unknown. I also never recall players asking for different levels of mats and finished products, only to make those finished products matter.
Yea, a point “catchup” is way past due.
The ability to retalent should have been here from the jump.
The different levels need to go.
Bad is just bad…
On my server, nearly every public work order is from one or two con artists who always provide zero mats and a 5g tip, clearly looking for free stuff to sell on the ah. Almost always anyone actually catering to these sleazes would have to put out hundreds of gold just for the mats.
I enjoy the gearing aspect of the professions, but gating the recipes behind rep and raid drops are outdated and unnecessary parts of it. Crafting is appealing to the regular player, having raid bosses drop recipes is silly. If you’re raiding, you don’t need crafted gear for the most part outside of the occasional min maxed piece.
I hate it. Complex=/=good. In this case it’s mess. And it made some things just way more expensive to craft.
I understand the lack of a re-talent. The point is to specialize so 1 person can’t cover every corner of the market, but I agree with the rest and I don’t think you should be able to learn everything by dumping time into it. Like the old alchemy system, you were either a potion master, an elixer master, or a transmutation master. Not all 3.
