Worst Spec for a Solo Player?

Stealth in combat classes because they reset the target’s heatlh to 100% if they use there vanish ability, so horrible for soloing high hp mobs.

Maybe mage, I want a class that is tankier and has a healing

I see what you are saying and it is correct but Pen was leveled as holy. Wasn’t fast but didn’t die.

So let’s cut to the chase – who are they, and how did they do you dirty?

Words of someone who never played frost mage or don’t know how to.

Every frost skill slows or root the enemies, we kill them before they have a chance to get close. We also have good mobility with blink and alter time, and good defenses such as barriers and ice block.

The topic at the time was what was easy or hard for beginners. Now how could that have anything to do with what I have or have not played?

Think about someone just starting the game and compare what you need to know to play a hunter and what you need to know to play a mage.

  • With a hunter you just shoot at something and your pet goes and tanks for you. You keep shooting. That’s it.
  • Are you really saying a mage is that easy for someone just trying to figure out the game for the first time?

Enhancement Shaman.

So what does mage to do against huge elites?
With warlock and hunter I let my pet tank it, keep healing my pet while I blasting the enemy down.
Every time Ive run mage against anything ‘big’, its been me running away as fast as I can, lol

Seriously no reason to do it given all the other options, but the only place Id ever run rogue or mage again is as a support class in group content with a good healer at my back.

I have ONE mage that hasnt been deleted and the only reason he exists is because I wanted a dark iron dwarf mage with engineering to farm old content with.
He has the mage ports, the mole machine ports and the engineering ports…literally as world mobile as it gets.
other than that, he serves no purpose.

Leveling as rogue has its advantages like stealth. Plus makes any other class seem easy :stuck_out_tongue:

I feel like rogue and feral have been a class/specialization that never feels good to play until max level. The talents make the spells feel good and fluid but until then it’s choppy and slow.

If I met a person interested in play wow for the first time I’d recommend a ret paladin.

meh…for stealth I just do druid. Works perfectly given I have a tank spec that can stand up to anything I cross, even if its slow as molasses taking it down

I have never Druid yet, might need to check it out

I have a Vulpera Mage for basically the same reason.

Priests, I just always feel like a damp sponge trying to play them solo. Elemental shaman as well.

Now my favorite solo is Druid. I can boomkin through anything easily with loads of utility. Plus you can change specs and tank a world elite if need be.
I have an army of Druids.

It’s hard for me to enjoy other classes honestly due to being spoiled with Druids.
Warlocks are the only thing close to my Druids.

I can vouch for others that SP is poorly designed. Very tanky, but slow, ramping dps. In fact, dps’ing feels more like a chore than fun. Once you get the hang it’s “alright”, but it wouldn’t be fun to start from scratch

I think disc is the worst to start with, but once you master it its probably a fun spec. No so sure in dungeons, but raiding or pvp. Personaly i always hated it.

All dps specs are great.
All tank specs are easy.

a lot of those thing dont work on mobs. And certainly not the tough mini bosses that have nice gear or rewards. I dont level up the mage until catch up gear is available or i run a lot of heroic dungeons to get gear. tank DPS is what you want to run

I don’t hate Rogues but honestly a new player shouldn’t start off by playing one. Learning the game with a Hunter or Mage is better for a newbie.

Yeah, for a savvy player who knows how things work already, Rogues can be a heck of a lot of fun. But that’s a brutal class to learn the ropes with.
