Worst raid tier yet

I feel like every so often there is a long fight and I get why they made it that way with hers as she’s supposed to be iconic etc. I mean Guldan and Blackhand for some reason just really stick out to me as long fights(could just be remembering wrong) but hers most certainly takes the cake there. I feel like between the first cinematic and the 2nd phase something should be done. Like at this point most people should have seen the fight so just give the option to move on if everyone exits it. LFR trolls will suck true , but elsewhere is improved while nothing changes if people don’t skip since it still makes you wait then. Also cutting a portion of P2 seems most likely to help like just cutting across the first bridge instead of back and forth, but that might take too much work. I’d sooner say drop the adds hp rather than hers.

Worst expansion yet and that says a lot since BFA was horrible.

Wasn’t that because you die though? I can’t recall if that part removes sated.

Sanctum is the best raid since siege of orgrimmar for me. SoO still remains the best.

I only hate fatescribe.

Sanctum was good for us (my raid), people had a good time with it. Like everything else with this expansion, the issue is the absurdly slow pace of content delivery.

It’s not hard. Nothing in this expac is hard. SoD mythic was cleared almost immediately. Mythic Sylvanas was downed after 7 days and 169 pulls. To put that in context, Heroic Arthas (WotLK) (52 days) (325 pulls), Kil’Jaeden (Legion) (62 days), Mythic Blackhand (WoD)(133 days; 325 pulls), Archimonde (WoD) (472 pulls), Garrosh (SoO) (638 pulls), Yogg-Saron (Ulduar) (500+ pulls) and C’Thun (vanilla) (not killed until nerfed) were all much, much harder than anything this tier has to offer. In fact, this may be one of the easiest raid tiers in the game.

players were just worse then

Yea but guldan was awesome

No mid fight cinematic killing pacing

No running to the boss on chains

Counter play where if someone does you need to necessarily wipe.

Thematic as all get out. That fight on mythic was also dope with the final phase.

I think it was shorter because there was no double lust

Ah, another WoW Classic character with low posts in this thread saying how content isn’t hard (or challenging in the OP’s words). This is hilarious. Unless you have actual experience with the most difficult content in the current game (and I’m not just talking 3/10M), you’re really not offering anything useful and are most likely just trolling.

Odd sentiment coming from a classic player…

To bad you don’t understand what a forum alt is.

Look at the stats. Sylvanas fell after 7 days. That’s ridiculous.

Honestly no.

The biggest issue with the raid is the dom shard bonuses. Without it, you’re absolute dead weight no matter how well you actually play. The difference you get in your numbers between no dom set bonus, rank 1, and then rank 5 is just insane. This just puts you 2 treadmills: the first to get your bonus and shards, and the second to max out the ranks.

The fight designs are also quite uninspiring from DPS profile perspectives, and mechanically the raid is quite boring and straightforward. Castle Nathria was way better than SoD was.

The Sylvanas encounter is a very uninspiring ending to the tier. Essentially the Sylvanas fight is basically a repeat of the Denathrius fight. You basically deal with boss + occasional off-targets in Phase 1, have an intermission, then go to your typical phase 2 adds > boss while dodging mechanics, and a final you vs boss phase 3. It’s very unoriginal. The only difference is the horrible cinematic after the Syl fight.

Hard disagree there. I quit during CN cause I just couldnt bring myself to go back in there anymore. SoD on the other hand has been a blast since the day it opened. The fights are fun and unique, the slyv fight especially is probably one of the most cinematic fights we’ve ever gotten. The dom shards were annoying for the first month or so I guess, but I liked that we could continually upgrade the shards, something tier sets lacked. Overall, SoD is miles ahead of CN and I think I’d have to go all the way back to NH to find a raid I enjoyed as much

Your opinion doesn’t make your point true; more people played CN than SoD. There were more kills on Shriek and more people cleared the tier (Denathrius) vs Terragrue/Syl.

??? Other than Painsmith on mythic, none of the fights are original in any context.

And this repeats itself on every alt you play. It’s just a terrible design, and the shard requirement mess spills into M+ this season too.

Good for you. Doesn’t make you correct.

I’m sorry that you don’t like it. I do, it’s definitely been one of my all time favorites.

Sorry, but a WoW classic character with low posts saying, and I quote: “nothing in this expac is hard” is straight up hilarious. From what I can see, you have zero experience with current hard content, so your opinion on it’s difficulty is suspect.

Honestly it’s mostly just Sylvanas. If her fight wasn’t 15 minutes long with unnecessary cinematics and running around, I wouldn’t hate this raid as much. Her encounter is just so ridiculous.
The way they’ve altered some fights has been a new learning curve, going back post nerf, like Painsmith and Kel’thuzad, but I just really… really don’t like Sylvanas as a boss fight. Would’ve been more enjoyable if they modeled it after the “End Time” fight with her. It’s one of those fights where you have so much personal responsibility and if a couple people die, you’re basically just going to reset the boss anyway.

Ahh the real reason behind this post…hiding behind all of that SoD bs.
