dude everything you are saying is conjecture and opinion. im just bringing up the lack of information on pvp, and you come in here and just rail on how pvp is useless and it will/should never be a part of wow… this thread isnt for you and your opinions
I think Blizzard is giving PvP the shaft, don’t get me wrong, but Blizzard updated AB and WSG, and they completely redesigned DWG. So there was something, but not what we needed, in my opinion.
As long as PvP is designed to be a sandbox for raiders to get easy wins and free stuff, it will never be real PvP again. They can’t even hire a PvP director, because he’d tell them what they’re doing is destroying the PvP part of the game, which lots of customers subbed to do.
Man, I can’t believe I almost fell for the comments of an idiot in a BG earlier who said that Holinka switched back to being PvP. I knew Holinka came back and that it wasn’t for PvP. The person said that he switched sometime in 8.2. Your comment reminded me to look it up, and his LinkedIn still says Lead Combat Designer. So nope. Person was wrong.
Then again, this person also said Ion is not responsible at all for the state of PvP, which is objectively false considering he has to have some level of influence given his position.
There will be a pvp vendor, I don’t think we know how good their selection will be
they kinda have to, you can’t ignore them if you’re going for balance

That’s nothing less than expected with the times. AV is a famous example of that.
I would agree because it was at best coldly received in BFA. This was their biggest shot yet at making a PvP-centric expansion(you’d think it’d be MoP) and they BLEEEEW IIIT! They probably made a determination, regardless if they were at fault for it anyway, that we would be sick and tired of PvP at this juncture of all junctures. Well, no duh if you give us a crappy PvP experience for 2 years, we won’t want any more of it. And who knows? That might have been some ingenious intention: to get us more stoked for PvE as a social engineering tactic.
I don’t mind the other BGs being updated, because they’re household staples and people will still enjoy that. If you’re not sick and tired of playing the same BGs that existed since 1.3, then that’s fine as a change. The true PvPers at heart would have to do some existential soulsearching. It may even be a different MMO for them…
Why? Why would they do that? Have they not read ANY of the feedback regarding PvP and the gearing system? If this is true, I am deeply, deeply disappointed.
They definitely make PVE players PvP, look at Blood of the enemy, and Conflict and strife.
Conflict and strife is basically a requirement for tanking… and it requires conquest capping every single week, after getting to 1000 rating. Its not a difficult amount of PvP to accomplish… but I’ve had to build out a complete new spec on my warrior in order to get 1000 rating, and to conquest cap.
I’m not disagreeing with your point, if I could level up and gear for PvP entirely in PvP, I 100% would.
Coming from a wow player , the main problem here is pve only mythic raider that dont want their ilvl earned anywhere else .
I always enjoy getting those extra pieces a week because i actually play both side for enjoyment .
Im also curious for the pvp gearing path in shadowlands , hopefully it’s good enough with vendors . I dont want pvper to be forced to pve and vice versa but i do want to be able to keep ahead because i play the game fully unlike some
