the world server down article says that players should reset their UI, But Iād add flushing the DNS also.
This is a Blizzard issue.

fair point. Just relaying what blizzard says and sometimes one has to become creative with these things. Try avoiding the Bnet app and go directly to the Wow.launcherā¦ see if this helps.
