so why do you play it.?
man what an edgy and cool opinion
You remind me of MadSeasonShow when you call it âcurrent.â I miss that guy.
I think WoWâs combat is really fun. There just isnât enough fresh content, especially in SL imo
Compared to the tedious grind fests it competed with WoW was far and away a brilliant game.
The possibilities have always been the draw⊠and it never fulfills them.
The non existent numbers prove the game isnât good.
Yes they should put us in 259 gear on the first day . And make everything irrelevant. ⊠just make it a little easier for Alts.
Honestly, I sometimes feel like Blizz adds grinds for the sake of it. If the grinds arenât as obvious as some of the current ones are, I donât think I or other players would have such an issue with them. Itâs when Blizz makes them so obvious and strictly for the sake of being there to slow us down like they do that I take issue with.
Why so aggressive friend? Pull up a chair and vent to your buddy Ral, I put the Pal in Paladin.
Iâm infatuated with the world of Azeroth. Itâs characters. Iâm interested in what happens next.
Stephen King is the literary version of World of Warcraft, but people still read him because he keeps things interesting. Even when the story is groan worthy. I disliked Billy Summers, but am looking forward to Fairy Tale because it sounds interesting.
People stay because they still find the game interesting.
Itâs not just all about the grinding.
I find it fun, for 1 month, then I just unsub, play something else and come back later on
Oh look.
Another person telling us what we likez and what we donât like.
If the game was never good, then why did it have millions playing? I wouldâve never played this game if it wasnât good.
lol. did you ever play everquest or everquest 2? now those were what anyone would call a grindfest. the day I tried wow was the same day i canceled my eq accts. in eq, when u died, some of your money and items dropped with your corpse as well as removing some of your experience. that was a grind.
This video made me laugh harder than I should have.
I disagree with the fact that it was ânever goodâ I started in vanilla and have played every expansion, iâve always held the notion that post MOP (starting with WOD) the game was taking a turn for the worse, although i liked legion (even though it came too soon imo) and some of BFA (the nâzoth content was rushed and the way we defeated him was an absolute joke.)
Then classic was released and figured id play and see if it was nostalgia goggles that always gave me this idea that it was better back in the day, and IMO it was not. I loved progressing through classic, having a sense of community, as you levelled up you actually felt a powerscale and like your journeys were having an impact. The build up to getting to Blackrock mountain, seeing old characters from the stories of W1-3 without being used as a gimmick. Sure it wasnt perfect but I had an amazing time, meanwhile the story in retail is progressively becoming more and more unstatisfying (the jailor was the worst character ever created in this franchise, and old characters are being written into the dirt) the content is beyond boring. The shadowlands content was an absolute bore to quest through, ironically i enjoyed ardenweald which I thought would be my least favorite zone, Old characters are being used as gimmicks and alot of the writing is either bland or over the top. One of the biggest faults i believe is that our player character went from being an âadventurerâ to âchampion of Azerothâ. Old lore being retconned to the point of almost being meaningless. Playing in classic WoW was one of the best warcraft experiences I have had in a long time, TBC as well even though personally not as fun as the original classic release.
And as somebody had stated above the âgrindsâ felt more meaningful back then, Where in retail I hated even just the standard leveling experience in Shadowlands I enjoyed every zone in classic, even desolace. Grinding rep for the argent crusade and other factions didnt feel as big of a chore as the zones and storylines were interesting.
Some of the things I enjoy about retail is more difficult mechanics in raids, and mythic dungeons. But alot of the bad (killing server community with cross server queues amongst other things, Poor writing and bad retcons etc) outweighs the good heavily
TLDR: after revisiting vanilla and TBC with classic I disagree that it was always a bad game.
there are some good things with retail but alot of the negatives heavily outweigh it
