I think playing as a kid is silly. I’m well within my right to express my opinion.

Had you posted that opinion, our conversation would have gone quite differently. Instead, you came in with this:
So maybe next time just lead with
The concept is fine, but playing as a child? Eh… seems far too simple as well, can you expand on combat? Feels like it’d be one of those cutesy games.
I’m Lightforged. I didn’t have a childhood. Grew up on a warship in space. It was military drills tactical training from the moment I could walk.
Trial of the Light by early adulthood then off to the frontline to dye in the eternal war.
I just don’t have a desire to play a child. ![]()
Most people that play this game are 25+ to like mid 40’s, so I feel like the demographic this is aimed towards, pretty much doesn’t exist.
No youngins are really playing any Warcraft related games, because it’s inherently an older IP.
Warcraft itself is over 30 years old.
Maybe Hearthstone, but that’s all I really see kids playing. And that’s because of how easy and approachable it is.
children are the worst
As someone with a kid, if they made this game and catered it towards teaching the younger generation the game I would love to play with him.
I know this wasn’t your intention, but this could have been worded a lot better. Also, I like the concept.
… so there are these things called RP servers… and yes, okay, goldshire. Whatever. Ignore it. The REST of the RP is actually very cozy. There are tons of addons to make the experience extremely fun. I ran a “bar” as a “chef” for a few weeks in stormwind with some other folks. It was blissful. I still RP all the time with NPCs because the game already has that vibe. If you press the walk button once in a while, it actually is a very cozy game.
A WoW mod for Dragon Age Origins would go hard imo
I think it’s cute that you think I don’t know what role-playing is or you’re just being sarcastic. I’ve been role-playing since Dungeons & Dragons 1989 and I’ve been on an RP server since 2007. That has nothing to do with this.
The age group it would be aimed toward would be the same age group that has children. This way they could still play World of Warcraft, but they could also include their kids because it’s something geared toward them. Once they’ve learned how to play and they get a little bit older they may decide they want to continue to retail. at the very least, it allows, the parent who only wants to play World of Warcraft to play something with their kid. my kids are in their late 20s so I don’t have to worry about it.
That’d be an even smaller demographic lol.
A lot of gamers just don’t have kids. (Especially us millennials.)
Or, those that do, simply have less time to devote and often become ‘diet gamers’ instead, preferring either mobile games or playing once a week, something like that.
Parenthood takes precedent over gaming.
Can’t really do both gaming and parenthood without neglecting the kids, even partially.
Unless you include them in your 2 hour a week diet ![]()
I used Photoshop and AI to give my character a kid. I think she turned out ok for a little half elf.
She’s canonically four, so I really should name her one of these days. ![]()
She looks like a Hannah’Rae <3
I like the creativity and I think the aspect of developing deeper lore/roleplay for your character is a fun idea.
Did you dye your kids hair? You monster
Not bad. I’ll add it to the short list!
It’s natural. ![]()
