World of Warcraft News and Development Updates

Omg… that’s hideous, imho.

Why not just cap ilvl of non rated BGs. I would be fine with that, that way the hardcore PvPers can fight each other, and not have a huge advantage in pickup games. But to give everyone the same ilvl gear, is asinine.

Guess Blizz used to be asinine even though PvP participation was higher than now back then???

I really like the upcoming changes, except the PVP systems. I try to do random BGs everyday across my toons and it’s just not very fun. The gear-gap is insane right now.

I hope you listen to the feedback provided on the PTR forums.

What PvP season didn’t have gladiators with gear higher than 99.9% of the playerbase? Vanilla? That gear got exponentially better as you ranked up.

The only time Glads had better gear was when they rating locked Elite Weps and Shoulders, the increase was nothing like now.

The gap is inexcusable right now.

So, what separates the “good” gear players and the “bad” gear players?? Ohhh, titan forging!!

What?

Was pointing out, the good gear players obviously did something to get better gear. Nothing is stopping other people from following the same path. This is just a whine fest of people wanting to be on equal footing without putting in the work.

It’s a game bro, let rating/cosmetics be the thing that people work for (You know, the way the game has been for most it’s lifespan aside from Vanilla-TBC).

Your notion of “work” has no place in something like Random BGs or something where people just wanna get back home from actual jobs and just chill in.

Participation is low right now for a reason.

We disagree, I respect your opinion, mine just differs. Safe travels.

I would be totally fine with this as well.

I just feel like I can’t do what I used to love (random BGs) without being a mythic raider, keystone master or gladiator champion anymore. All I’d be is a speedbump in there by sticking with casual content.

Ilvl cap, templates, better gear…I’ll take any solution to that problem. But it is a problem and it does need a solution.

Love your name

May I ask in what universe it makes sense to have someone need to beat players who are 2000 rating to get gear that requires 2000?

By your “put in work” requirement. Newer players are required to work harder since they’re facing opponents who have 2000 rated gear, whereas the 2000 rated folks didn’t have that gap when they got theirs.

Imagine telling new chess players in order to “unlock” their Queen, they need to be recognized 2000 Elo, but people who are already 2000 elo can use the Queen.

It’s just a massive disadvantage in what should be a competitive environment. Right now, PvP in WoW is not competitive for newer players.

Don’t mind him, the evidence is already in the participation for this Season compared to others.

It’s really up to Blizz to fix it or not at this point.
What would be nice is a response from them of whether they plan to or not though.

How about you increase the drop amount of those relic things we get in Korthia. Didn’t you learn how annoying this is for the players back when when you had low drop rates of anima?

I mean.

Now that K-Arms are going to be purchasable for specific slots, instead of the random storm of belts worthy of a FF title:

Make Korthian arms purchasable and upgradeable for soul ash (and cinders for the final ranks) from a vendor in Torghast next to the door.

Now you have Torghast gear progression, ready balanced, for a handful of code lines.

Bing, bang, boom, solo players, alters and casuals get a big old boostie without taking anything away from current stable of players and you take the weight off research fragments for upgrading, which softens the blow for the people complaining there isnt enough of those.

things you forgot:

  1. fixing the bad staff and warglaive placement on the back in many of the weapons in game. Has been like this since Legion and even before. A skull staff that weeps rose petals never usable becasue the skull sits on the your shoulder-blade and the staff hilariously drags on the ground; Male DH with warglaives look like beetles in a mating frenzy balancing mandables, and all you would have to do is slide the placement a little further down so they are on your back.
  2. adding skinny Kul Tirans. Or making all races be able to be fat or skinny. I don’t want an Arnold Schwartzenegger hunter body, I want an emaciated woodsman wiry but strong. I would like to have a fat elf mage. It would be hilarious. Age customizations would be great, why can’t you have a teenager half-grown human? I ask all these things because the physical customization in virtually all other games is light years ahead of wow now, and at this stage there is literally no reason to hang back.
  3. fixing broken korthia (research doesn’t apply BOA to alts, and even getting max research only awards you 233 gear which is a joke for your main
  4. buffing loot drops
  5. Fixing broken shards of domination confusing gear even further, forcing you to drop a 252 chest for a 239 domination socket
  6. Fixing GV, which has exploited #4 even further
  7. You forgot to freaking add extra roll tokeins for raids, which is a MUST, especially if you are not buffing loot drop rates. My main is il 247 and is still stuck with il 213 domination socket shoulders because every week I get bad rng since the entire raid dropped. It’s ridiculous.
  8. Fixing the talents to BM Hunter, quite possibly the most unbelievably boring rotation ever invented. I mained BM hunter since Cata on this toon, and used to say things like “BM for Life”. I just changed to MM.

the list goes on, but I’ll stop here lol

This times infinity squared. It also confirms the numbers are very much not where they want they them to be.
