World of Warcraft: Dragon Isles (The Real Deal?)

It’s just so random but completely exact to the implementation we’re getting in 9.2.5. It’s not even listed as a main attraction, just something observed as part of the test build he participated in.

A lot of other facts simply line up extremely well and the whole thing is just extremely believable. If it’s a fake, and it’s completely possible, but if it is a fake, it is a top-tier far beyond any other fake.

Is this the leak that also talks about how some of the pure dps classes were testing new specs, like tanking for Warlocks and Hunters but hadn’t been completely fleshed out yet?

So am I but I never made that face in my life :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll agree, its an interesting ‘leak’. One thing that made my eyes narrow a bit was the map. My immediate thought was - this looks an awful lot like Draenor:

As I said…it just seems awfuly similar to me. Is it likely the zones of two expansions would look so much the same?

I expect Bear Isles instead.

Yes.

Seems believable to me.

They’ve tried it before. People keep whining about a tank shortage so I can see Blizzard trying to experiment again.

That’s not what WoD looks like in-game.

Blizzard loves taking concepts they’ve abandoned and trying them again (see: Shrine of the Storm using the OG Dragon Isles concepts for instance) so the idea of Blizzard taking the WoD they wanted to do and using that for Dragon Isles makes sense.

What are we going to do about Wrathion’s hair?

They didn’t abandon Draenor. As with Shadowlands, they just truncated its content. And any Dragon Isles expansion would be completely different to WoD. I think you are reaching a bit, mate.

No it isn’t…

Don’t pass up leaks as real, anyone can make a leak and include “tinker” in it and other key words everyone wants to hear and people seem to go crazy believing it.

Yes ok, I linked an early release map, which I just realised.

The only differences between it and the ingame map are the two large islands (and the decorative pieces of a lower continent). Which were undoubtedly removed when they trimmed down the expansion’s content. But my point still stands that reusing maps for two different expansions wouldn’t seem very logical.

Those were the elements that were similar between the two maps. Which again, to me makes this more believable.

Tinker isn’t in this though.

OK, lets agree to disagree. But I guess when 10.0 is announced and we see any sort of offical content, all will be revealed.

I want the Dragon Isles but without Ion or Steve’s input…

Sure, you don’t have to believe it is real.

I’m just saying that saying its unbelievable isn’t true. It’s completely believable as nothing obviously debunks it. It could still be fake, but there is nothing disqualifying from what I see.

That’s the thing. You can’t see yourself or any other Brits making the face. Only Americans can see it. The ability to see that face was part of what we won in the revolution. In fact, it was the main cause of the revolution, contrary to what history books would have you believe.
