Man, the market is just going to the more ADD style of quick play and go. I doubt MMORPGs will ever be a thing again. WoW was the right thing at the right time.
It’s not a fault of anything the developers are doing that they’re not bringing in new players (I definitely do think they’re pushing away existing ones though, whether by agenda or just a bad game). Look at New World. The biggest selling point of it right now is that it isn’t WoW. I would be interested to see how many people playing it are WoW players.

Sad thing It could Blizzard has to ability to keep this game in the top 10 if they really wanted too I spoke to many of my former guildies on most of my toons and many state they would come back for numerous reasons some the Raider IO and Mystic + dungeons just was the last draw for many of them as the others stated the concept art variety more design of mounts ,weapons, gear mobs and Bosses and last many others stated they would stick around if WoW would stop overpowering some classes as they would nerf others . also to add a lot either left the game all together or switch to DPS that where healers and tanks . I really hope WoW can save their game and make the top 10 once again instead of seeing this down crease of players.

Top ten what? Even the worst WoW detractors rank it at #2 or #3 MMOs, which isn’t a bad place to be.
