World of RMT

Careful, them addons will likely be broken by next expansion. Might want to find another solution

Nah, those ones have nothing to do with what they’ve changed

Hey idk if you’re new but this is always what the game was

Why are you telling people who couldn’t possibly be reading this, actual new players, to download addons to block ads and leave trade chat?

These are players who see the advertisement and recognize that these ads must be okay with Blizzard or they wouldn’t be there.

A few months ago people were complaining about so many [wts] listings in the services channel. I looked a little deeper and found that the same ads were being delisted and relisted every few minutes so they would always show on the top page, making them unavoidable for the new players you say should already understand all about carries and addons on getting out of the starting zone.

Then something happened. For a period of time the ads were gone, completely gone. If they’re back now, whatever Blizzard did to make them disappear is something Blizzard has stopped doing.

If Blizzard didn’t want carry ads in the Group Finder, they wouldn’t be there.

Aight so there’s this thing where there’s so many bad/casual players who buy boosts that sellers have infinite accounts to flood every channel in this game

I’m going to disagree. But I know you support this practice, even though Blizzard has shown they can control it and have done so in the recent past.

It’s not a matter of agreeing you’re just unfamiliar with the topic.

I’m not in favor of RMT, no, as it’s in violation of the tos and I’m not really sure where you’d get that idea as I don’t recall interacting with you
ever.

It’s too hard for Blizz to spend 3 minutes on blocking non-80s from being able to post M groups.

In vanilla they spelled out gold websites with corpses in orgrimmar.

Its been 20 years. Time to move on.

Yes.

Game’s 20+ years old. :man_shrugging:t5:

Either you’re familar with how things go around here, or you aren’t.

And Blizzard doesn’t feel like paying someone to moderate LFG channels just as much as we don’t have GMs anymore and all issues in-game are handled through automation.

But you’re fine with it and think they shouldn’t do anything about it. They are helpless. Nothing they can do.

Blizzard’s okay with it and so are you. It would take a low level employee a few minutes an hour to maintain such a setup. I fully expect to see you screaming when they break your ad blocking addons to make sure you have to scroll through all the ads every time.

I love how most of the discussion is about semantics rather than the fact that this existing is and always has been harmful to the game.

Let’s not dance around the point, no one like this crap, and the fools buying the carries are a) clogging up space for actual groups and b) lowering group engagement by removing themselves from the player pool of pugs.

I should install one of these addons. I just report them all for advertisement until the LFG is free of them, since that puts them on temporary /ignore and I don’t see them.

It is ridiculous, though.

Nope.

Nothing they do would bother me, I am un-tilt-able.

I don’t rely on addons.

And the addons they are breaking don’t apply to chat addons because if you paid any attention you’d know it’s combat and UI/WA stuff.

If it’s so easy, tell me why haven’t they solved it “once and for all”?

If it’s so easy in your own words lol, would love to know why they haven’t implemented a solution since it’s so easy.

Hint: $$$

Not gonna lie, if it ends up that I can’t filter this b.s. out, I WILL quit playing m+, and that’s probably 80-90% of what I do.

Yea, and if YOU paid the same attention you’d see they already aren’t doing what they said they’d do, and are therefore untrustworthy.

It’s not the same people in charge that made promises years ago.

Therefore you can’t rely on them to keep said promises- that wasn’t them lol

The folks that said that likely left years ago.

The players themselves gotta adapt to whatever is going on in WoW, and it has kinda always worked that way.

You mean the folks who said less than a month ago they’d be taking years to slowly rollout replacement in house solutions to add-ons only to 3 weeks later wipe the board of anything even remotely interacting with combat, nameplates, or UI?

well they still didnt do that

Chat addons are none of those things lol.

I’d be surprised if Badboy stops working in the next major patch.
