World of Metacraft

i own my own business and during our peak season i sometimes get triple digits in hours. yet i still have a core group of friends in the game so dont use that as an excuse its not viable here lmao. my m+ group has literally heard me talking to clients before while tanking keys.

yes thats exactly what can happen.

i dare say thats up to your and your friends. im running with a survival hunter, warlock, mage, and a shamman/holy priest healer. when you are with your friends unless you are pushing to the top of the top you can run basically what ever you want. maybe surround yourself with people who respect your choices rather than just being a carpet to walk on.

it wont matter to the people who care about metas in 12 keys. the dps classes could be a .1% better and they would still want that class. there is no world where that doesnt happen. i mean look at aug people want augs for freaking 10s when in fact augs are crap until you need them to survive.

there is no logic in your arguments you just want to play victim and have everyone coddle you.

I already dismantled all of his complaints.
And he started calling names and pulling rank like he’s out pushing 15s.

And you can tell he’s just an insufferable human being From the way he talks. Making friends is most likely out of the question for him.

They made a post to highlight how spec imbalance affects him and was waved off. Of course it annoyed him. Lol

Where would you suggest he find a ready-made group of 4 people who are done farming 11’s and looking to push into 12’s that have, I assume a DPS opening, and would pass over the 10,000 people playing meta choices to scoop him up? It’s just a bad faith argument because all of us have pugged M+ for years, know how LFG works, and know he has a realistically very low chance at finding that situation.

You’re telling a starving man to grow a crop, dude. Lol

Because friends don’t care about meta. That’s the whole point. Yes, the meta sucks when your class is excluded. However, there’s a solution right there.

What do you think is more likely? Blizz balancing better or just meeting folks to run keys with?

One is a temporary solution (balance always changes) and the other is much more permanent (unless they unsub).

There are so many non-meta people out there complaining they can’t get invites. Thousands upon thousands. Yet none of them try to organize play together. Because it’s easier to click apply and get rejected than to put in the effort to form relationships.

Look. I get it. I really do. But is screaming into the void achieving anything? Is the thought of finding like-minded players to play with and scheduling game sessions so abhorrent that you’d rather keep paying a sub to be frustrated with your gaming experience?

I used to be in that boat. So tilted when people left my keys bricking it after 30 mins. Or getting declined for being undergeared, not meta, not progressed enough, etc. I had limited play time and just wanted to get stuff done and wasn’t.

I finally bit the bullet, took a chance on a group looking for more people, and it took off. I get 3-4 runs a week guaranteed plus 0-5 more if I get a night free. All sessions scheduled in advance to make sure people were on.

I don’t progress quickly but I have guaranteed runs that don’t care what I play.

Once again he’s not running 15+ pushing blazing the trail man. 12s aren’t the end all be all of keys. Wme has a channel for 12+ and higher for example. There are others. And these are solutions. Joining a mythic+ guild socializing but sure that’s all impossible let’s just go and tell blizzard to fix it instead.

That’s the point I was making. Lead the guy to water if you know where it’s at and you’d have likely got a better response out of him.

That aside, we pay for the expansion, we pay for a monthly sub, and Blizzard generates millions from their in-game shop. As a PVP player I’m realistic when it comes to tuning, I understand this is essentially a PVE game and I don’t expect much attention paid to how bad balance is in PVP. But I don’t think people who do PVE (especially since M+ is probably the most popular game content) asking for Blizzard to button up the wide swings they give us every patch in spec balance is a big ask.

You play Warrior for instance. There’s been weeks where you were totally useless for affixes, and you have neither a brez or lust, or really any other especially unique quality that I couldn’t get from another melee, so bringing Warrior to a group was totally for DMG sake a lot of seasons. It’s just neglect that Blizzard has allowed that to be the case for so long.

No, but maybe the guy just wanted to vent. Lol

That’s a chance encounter, though. I’ve played Rsham for years, I’m a fairly solid Rsham player, nothing special but a healer who isn’t bad has got to be at least somewhat appealing, right? I used to have a macro made that I would post listing my btag, and at the end of runs where I felt like there was good synergy and people did a good job of executing their roles I would use this macro saying ‘great group, here’s my btag if you want to run again, etc.’ Zero bites, ever.

I think it was DF season 3 I joined a set raid team. 2 of our 4 healers were raid loggers who were playing SoD and only got on for raid nights so myself and another guy absolutely hard carried this group of people to AoTC. I thought ‘here’s a group of people who know I’m worth playing with first-hand, and I’m a healer, maybe I can get a group now’ so I posted to Discord seeing if any of the DPS/tanks who did M+ would be interested in grouping. Once again, nothing.

I have first hand experience with the trials and tribulations of attempting to accomplish this, and as a more desirable role than he’s playing, which is why I felt it necessary to point out how difficult of a task he’s being told to accomplish.

Or I don’t know, maybe the guy’s a total jerk and would have hissed at you all regardless. But I didn’t feel he was being given a fair evaluation considering he’s being handed the Labors of Hercules as gaming soultions. Lol Dude just wants to hop on and do some content.

Maybe WoW just isnt the game for you if you can’t put in more time to push the harder content you want. Either find comfort in lower keys, or find comfort in the waitlist.

Though there is plenty of balancing that the game is still missing, this post seemed more like venting than offering solutions on how to close the gap.

Even if class balance were better, there’d still be a meta and gatekeeping. This is a people problem. You’re expecting a lot from pugs.
