pvp rank has ALWAYS meant time spent pvping, nothing more than that.
you should 1v1 duel someone to gauge their skill for yourself.
and why do you care what some no lifer can do when you already cant? you want some measurement of skill? wait for arenas.

I think you are confusing bots with no-lifers. The people in that bracket now are mainly people that don’t have jobs or families. They’ve got the time and patience to go through that nonsense. That doesn’t make them bots. Blizzards been pretty strict on bots for years on all of their games. I doubt they just said f it with classic.
The no lifers are also botting for 4-6+ hours per days.

LOL yeah, cuz there was never, ever, any cheating going on there… the ladders were (are?) pristine. 
Due to the nature of instant queues and premades alliance side it is more or less impossible for someone to hit r14 while botting.
That isn’t to say that it won’t happen but right now the top rankers alliance side are incredibly active premade runners.
I suspect the only way a r14 alliance side could get away with it right now is if they are doing premades for 18 hours and botting for 6 but that’s a quick way to break brackets and get black listed from premades.
I highly doubt that. Again. Blizzard bans bots on everyone’s of their platforms. Just because some no lifers are playing for 30 hours straight doesn’t mean they are botting , it just means they have the time to do it. Is it jealousy ? Like what’s the real problem here.
The reporting system is also broke. I know some Alliance Pre-Mades exploited it to ditch people (so I read on these forums), but I have seen people abuse this and it takes forever to boot them.
Remember this though…bans come in large waves.

Yep. 100%. I have messaged several of our top rankers on Smolderweb - only one ever responded and it was HOURS later. Im sorry but NO ONE is trying to respond to someone 2 hours after they messaged you. He came home and saw the whisper (guessing from WIM) and replied.

Well got to make munnies as you farm Honor as ally because of no que time. 
I botted BGs while at work all through WotLK and Cata, when you had to farm honor to get the starter pvp gear.
Everyone was botting bgs back then, look at forums posts at the time, or the videos and screenshots of 2 teams of mostly bots running the BG off a script.
Blizz eventually killed honorbuddy, but at the time, BGs were for farming honor for the pvp gear you needed to step into arenas.
Another difference being, in original WoW, Blizzard actually went after and sued the makers of the most used bot at the time, it took them 6 years to do it, but they did. Skip to Classic WoW today and Blizzard hasn’t or won’t even acknowledge all of the botting that is taking place.
Its more likely that the first rank 14’s will be from shared accounts. There are some “teams” at colleges that do shifts, they call it “research”.

on this thread we can see a bunch of salty casuals that believe it is possible to reach rank 14 with bots.
or on Alliance side, people in discord doing ‘competitive’ AV matches all day.
