Hey man, I’m all for more options not less. I wouldn’t have played an orc if I had to be a hunchback the whole time
Did you not play a hunchback until they gave that option? And I think theirs a bit more difference between aligning a player races spine and adding an extra appendage

I never even played an orc until they added the better posture setting. I was strictly goblin/dwarf
In "Before the Storm" Genn was described to have a tail when he fled from Anduin in rage after the forsaken Archbishop confronted him lol.

Thats fine. I wasent happy playing a night elf and didnt really commit to the game till Blood Elves became a thing. But as far as worgens getting tails....

I say cut your losses and just wait for the inevitable Vulpira allied race and play that.

Edit: Christie Golden confirmed that to be a typo.
Worgen have never, ever, had tails and it doesn't need to be an option. it's akin to asking for neko cat ears for elves who have had just as many cat eared elves as there have been tailed worgen.

Can this be an optional thing in the rework?

red panda/tail for male pandaren too please

and optional tails for demon hunters!

Yes please.
o.O I don't care either way, but is there anything in the lore to suggest they ever have tails? I've never, in the history of me playing this game, seen a Worgen with a tail as far as I know. I thought it was WoW lore that they'd never had them in the first place.

This. Worgen have never had tails going back to Vanilla. When they remade the models for Alpha Cata they didn't have tails, when they changed those models they chose not to add a tail, even in other media like Heroes of the Storm, the Curse of the Worgen comics, etc they are shown to not have tails. Tails should not be added, even if optional because it goes against everything in lore.

Blizzard has chosen not to give them tails on several occasions so it should remain that way.
Yes please

As I understand it the original model (the worgens in vanilla) were based around the human skeletal rig - adjusted to fit a werewolf. As humans didn't have animation bones for a tail - no worgen tails. And they kept this later on when again, the skeletal system didn't support it.

Now? Seems like they're fixing things from scratch so having at least the option (similar to female pandas) would make a lot of worgen players happy.

That doesn't change the fact that in other media Blizzard has chosen not to give them tails. In Before the Storm it's mentioned that Genn has a tail, but that was confirmed to be a typo and not accurate to lore. So Blizzard is choosing not to give them tails, and because of this they should not add tails just because people want them. It goes against lore completely.
No. Worgen have never had tails in wow and they go back a long way. Its not unusual for werewolves to not have tails in media.

Agreed, as long as Blizz adds an idle animation of them chasing their tails.

I would have no issue with this.

Would make me reroll as Worgen.
Worgen have bodaggits; close enough to a tail.

^ You could say the same thing about, oh, tauren paladins or NE female druids (or mages as a whole). Lore is there until they decide it isn't.

It would be good, would not it?
But remember that many may consider that they are trying to make worgen a race for furrys, by adding tails.

So be ready to hear a lot of nonsense about why it can not be done or that the game is better without certain types of people!

Who cares? If it's an optional choice why should they worry? I just want the model to look great in every aspect.
I'm always on board for more options. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they'd be implementing the glowing eyes as an option, so I'm thinking maybe tails would be too far out of the question?

However, I won't be disappointed if they don't , I'd rather they keep working on the face and remove all the chihuahua.
