Beard.

Hey Graphus, just replying to your comment so that I can help make your image visible. Quite a dope choice by the way: sweet beard and a stout tail as well.

Yup, I’d race change my night elf druid into a night elven worgen druid.
I’d like to see all wolf based druid forms.
Add the elven form and some customization.
Then some customizations for the worgen form, maybe some fur shades that be similar to colors you’d see on a night elf, dunno that I’d use them, but they’d make cool options.

If not tails, at least some other customization would be nice. We are pretty lacking. Also why isn’t there a pure black fur color choice, the pure white one looks amazing. I would love to see pure black. (not the weird dark grey we have now)

Weirdly enough, there actually is a full black color choice. Like the white one, the pure black one was datamined WAAAAY back in 8.2.5 when they first released the updated worgens. It’s actually in the game files. My guess? They pushed back the black fur for the second wave of worgen customizations, which will come more than likely in 9.3 or 10.0.

You know…

Magic the Gathering is about to release a new expansion called Innistrad: Midnight Hunt.

It is heavily werewolf themed.

Perhaps Blizzard could get some inspiration there as well?

I’ve been told werewolves don’t have tails and everyone agrees multiple times in this thread. Clearly that is a fake picture.

Isn’t that one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen?
I love many of the creatures that exist in magic, like its minotaurs, leonine and werewolves. Like in Shadows over Innistrad.
Unless I’m mistaken, this illustration is of one of the heroines, named Arlinn.
And the story behind Innistrad’s werewolves has some elements reminiscent of Gilneas’ worgen.

Damn, it’s two decades now that i didn’t buy any MTG card and so didn’t even know about the Innistrad Storyline.

Are “Innistrad: Midnight Hunt” and “Shadows over Innistrad” physical cards or just for the online version?

I have to say that i like the Innistrad theme and maybe that i should try to buy a physical set (and it will cost me a lot i guess)
I took a look at the story and some parts remind me of Drustvar and the gilnean worgens.

While true, it’s also impressive to have the worgen customization threads still around, the original “Give worgen tails” thread almost hit 1k last I remember, and this one still finds itself on the front page every once in awhile.

Id say worgen customization is the 2nd highest request under all the elf requests with how often I’ve seen it on the front page.

The original give worgen tails is over 7k posts. However it only covers one aspect of our requests for customization. It’s just easier for non Worgen players to talk about one aspect. With the love they are giving lfd, ve, and Nightborne it gives me hope that when it’s the Worgen turn we will see the devs visit this thread and look at what we suggest.

I was looking at likes more, tends to signify the positive interest more than general neutral posts do.

The saddest part about all of this is how long it took blizzard to realize how massive customization is for their players, only now have they mentioned customization becoming a “top priority”, 8 expansions in.

One of the biggest reasons I’m excited for 9.1.5 is the customization, and that was before I even realized how great the system changes are as well.

I like the Worgen a lot too, they are so unique. I do wish worgen had tails added because I think it would make their silhouette much more powerful and balanced, especially when using the running wild racial. Also I would request more mane styles and also jewelry to match our human forms now. The Worgen female look much much better than before, I like the update that they got!

Sorry didn’t know you were talking about Likes. A lot of Worgen post there and some have 400+ posts because they are passionate about the race we choose to play. I hated the female Worgen look from the time Cata dropped but there was nothing I could do about it for 10 years. However even with my gripes I still stuck with my Worgen and while it took 10 years for my faith to be rewarded the changes made Worgen look so much better.

Short of Orcs and Nightelves every race could use some love when it comes to customization. The only reason I say that is they have many options compared to the other races not that they couldnt use more, more customization is always better but focus on those who are lacking first.

Also the comments about the Werewolves of Innistrad. I have always loved the look of them. I play both Oathbreaker and Commander and have a tribal werewolf deck in both formats. As to the werewolf on the cover art yes that is Arlinn Kord the only werewolf plainswalker and the only werewolf who isn’t a mindless beast. The nice thing about her character is she has a scratch mark over her eye that is both in human and werewolf form. A customization like that for Worgen would be a very nice touch, be it a scratch or bite mark that persists in both forms.

Indeed you have faith ^^.
Unlike youy, I began the game four month before the end of WoD, at that time i have friends who played WoW.
I didn’t have any interest in WoW and the warcraft franchise to be honest and i casually asked what races are available.
I was really surprised when they told me about the worgens, because playing a werewolf permanently in his lupine form was something i was looking for.

Maybe it will shock you but i didn’t find the old female model that bad and i do miss the perma snarl and her angry look.
What can i say? I prefer a fierce werewolf over a civilized one.

Optional tail, angry stance… anything that will make my character closer to the wolf than the human side will do.

It’s foreign for me, the last time i played MTG was 20 years ago with Mirrodin.
Out of curiosity, outside of Innistrad, is there another expansion that include werewolves as well?

I cannot wait for that set, my black green wolf / werewolf deck will be a lot more fun I bet.

Oh gods no it doesn’t.

I could go and like this thread on all my alts and fill up 86 likes just like that.

Likes is a terrible benchmark.

Though I wouldn’t say thread length is any better.

0 maintained threads about highmountain tauren wanting more customization… They just added a ton of new stuff for them on the PTR… :sob:

Coming back to kick this thread back to the top. Worgen are one of the coolest races in the game and deserve more love. I REALLY want the jet black option 'cause then I’d have both an albinistic and melanistic worgen. They should have separate hair color too.
