Should rename the game World of Elf and Human Craft
if the only defense of your argument is “i am cherry picking my fantasy to fit my narrative” which is all your last pararaph is saying you just proved yourself the clown and a waste of time to argue with.
He is not completely wrong either as no effort was done to properly adapt armors on the models, the helmets, shoes and sometimes shoulders are problematic many times.
Take the dracthyrs, the last beast race released: Only shoulders and belt are visible. Not even their Evoker class set was adapted to the dragon form, their base form.
It’s crystal clear that they don’t want to take the time to adapt the armors correctly to have a good looking set.

Just another thought…
Should Blizzard ever implement playable Night Elf worgen, how cool do you guys think it would be to have our feral and guardian forms have a wolf and dire wolf model option respectively? They have been breaking away from the cat/bear meta after all, especially with the new Harranir. This could technically go to Night Elves too but this would be neat for worgen only as it would be a homage to the OG lore for worgen. Before worgen existed, the druids shifted to pack form, which is a wolf. It was always dangerous to do so given it embodies Goldrinn and in such form, one could become, well, feral. Seeing that worgen are a product of pack form and have mastered their curse, they would probably have dominance over pack form if they ever shifted into it.
Of course, this would require Blizz making new models for worgen druids… Given how we lack as it is… Sigh One can only dream. I know I mentioned this forms when I brought up how Night Elf worgen could be an Allied Race like 5+ years ago. Though if they went the quest unlock route like they have with Darkfallen/San’layn, it’d be much easier.
I would honestly be happy if we got a customization for red fur
"We want to roll out extra customizations, hairstyles, you name it, for the existing races, to continue to bring them up to parity with the very newest options. It’s not something we’re able to do all at once, but particularly where it makes sense and fits the story; we’re excited to keep adding them. Our long-term goal is to get to a place where, every race — whether brand new or one of the original ones — has roughly the same number of options."
— Ion Hazzikostas, Midnight Q&A
So yeah, Ion, you have the feedback and the constant desire from the community. You can start with at least an optional tail ![]()
Long term… we’ve waited over 10 years as it is. Just saying.

Human form customizations are NOT WORGEN CUSTOMIZATIONS!
My gods the Haranir… I am so envious and in love with them.
Their customization goes above and beyond. I feel like I am betraying everything I’ve fought for if I decided to race change my druid. Ugh it actually hurts! So many years of all of us asking for simple things like a tail. So much feedback… This one stings. It really stings. I look back at Ion’s quote and then I look at the picture in my above post then look at the Haranir stuff - I can’t help but feel insurmountable empathy for not just worgen players, but all players as a whole who have been sending in feedback for their respective favorite races. I -love- the Haranir stuff, especially the druid forms but I’ll always have worgen as my priority.
I understand new races that needs rigging and have all the armors fitted to the models take an incredible amount of time. The Haranir use the night elf skeleton and now they have customization options practically surpassing night elves themselves. Shadowlands was a hit yet seeing how they have treated Dracthyr and now Haranir, it makes you wonder why they can’t do this to every race.
What pisses me off personally is hearing the whole “they will come when the time is right” excuse. It’s a scapegoat at this point given we had not only Shadowlands to get customizations, but the Gilneas patch -and- even the Emerald Dream patch as the OG worgen are in the Emerald Dream. Not to mention Goldrinn’s involvement. Then there was the BFA patch when we got new faces/eyes, that got thrown out the window too and we even LOST a customization option. So -when IS- the right time? It’s something no one will tell us.
There is the other excuse in which I debunked quickly about new classes for races. Said excuse was and I quote (in regards to the prospect of Vulpera paladins): “You say race restrictions, we say a bunch of extra animation and artwork that we have to do to make that work for a Vulpera Paladin. Unfortunately, especially Paladins and classes that have a lot of extra abilities, it does require work from the team to be able to make that work.”
Link to my post about that can be seen here: Future Race and Class Combinations
Sorry about the ranting. I’ve been so torn with Haranir. I’m envious, jealous, and incredibly sad all at the same time. We keep asking for things for our existing characters yet… we get this. I love new races, even if they share a model/skeleton/rig. They keep saying they are going to do more customizations for the older races yet… it’s been so little in my eyes compared to our new Haranir. It doesn’t really help either that said requests are not acknowledged and have been silent.
I understand that Blizzard gets so busy with patches and expansions. Plus budgeting and all that. That all comes into play too, I get it. Though think of this perspective: What if you dedicated people to character customization and only character customization. Doesn’t have to be a whole squad. Could be like 2-3 people. Players are very devoted to their characters, some devoted to lore and all that. Think of how many people would race change simply because of new customizations that lets them create the character they have always wanted. In the case of worgen, I know many, -many- people who have told me they would play worgen if they had a tail option.
Just my two copper…
I will at least grant that I think DID have fewer options within their categories than worgen do, but I’d need to go grab that separately.
