I think that wow becomes lonley.
Surrounded by tens of thousands of players but never get spoken to.
You dont que up with others for much at all to be in a situation to communicate and if you do decide to, people are awefully Toxic.
I think WoW has always been about remaining diligent to get back what you put in.
I think you still like wow and there needs to be a change of heart in what you choose to do in it, to get the right experiences that you are NOT getting currently.
I think raiding is the worst thing in the world but I force myself to do it to get the godly trinkets and you know what, I actually have a lot of fun.
I guess in short, you can never win if you don’t play brother !
Even if you don’t choose to do some M plus or pvp, you can goof off in the world content, go herbing , mining, rare killing, hang with people in your guild and smack some time walking down.
There are new raids every week where you go back in time and Raid older, long forgotten raids! (Look at me blapping on about raiding when I do NOT like it =D)
There is ALWAYS something to do from achievements to storming the opposite factions capital city.
Even you asking the question, “Do I like world of warcraft” gives PROOF that you do like it to some degree because if you actually didnt like it, you would know and not need us to help with your decision <3
By God have some fun young Lion.
For the Allianorde!
I think people like the OP, and myself to a degree, want to play the same aspects of the game they played for the first 5-6 expansions. So basically the focus of the game changed, and if I didn’t do I still like the game, or am I trying to squeeze whatever is left of the old features still remaining in the new game?
I cant say this game is super fun , maybe cuz im getting older, and i mean how much of the same stuff can you really do before your brain says this is not fun anymore… but wow is a good time sink when you have nothing to do thats what i use it for
It all depends what you are trying to get out of the game. I’m at a point my life where raiding and M+ don’t interest me much at all anymore, but I still like to be in the world and work on odds n ends here and there.
It’s not fun in the way you would recognize like the rush of downing a boss or beating a timer, but is fun in a way that is comforting and relaxing.
Yep. There’s no wrong way to consume the content of a game as long as that way isn’t grieving other players or cheating. It’s a game it’s your spare time it’s your money you need not appease anyone but yourself.
Reading the replies. I think the reasons I don’t run Mythic+ runs or do PvP is because one, I don’t want to waste everyone’s time with my lack of ability to play the class to it’s best. I’m not the only person paying $15 to play (even though I bought this gametime with a token) and two I have a poor personality with PvP. I take losses quite personally often blaming myself for everything that went wrong.
That goes against the terms of service that we all clicked “agree” to withoit fully reading and or understanding what we’ve read if we did read it xD.
That’s funny, I’d chose to stand right at the edge of Spires of ascension and after finishing a keg Irl and in wow I would shape shift into my worgen form then throw my beard clippings all over my sweaty body and holler at the moon until the trailer park supervisor knocks at my door.
Yes, I have a garbage bag filled with my facial hair and side of head and back hair.
Those big maps are WoW and the failure to make those maps have a purpose or be interactive is the problem with current WoW.
Yeah the devs primarily focus on mythic dungeons and raids because those are easier to design since they are easy rote repetition to design. Figuring out how to make brand new meaningful ways to interact with the game world and story requires creativity which is much more difficult. And even if you do have devs with creativity and vision it still might not be well received. See for example WoD.
Although personally WoD is one of my favorite expansions and the one I level alts in. I love building up my own castle and having my own followers.
Hello, it’s me, a person who avoids DF entirely and plays legacy content.
It’s because I chase near infinite grinds and gave up on dealing with timegate every current xpac has. It’s not worth going thru people over something that’s made meaningless by unspecial timegate.
I tried DF professions as well but hit a brick wall so badly I unlearned professions in December and just kept to DF cooking. Moving meaningful choice from SL covenants to DF professions was in fact a major killer of DF personally.
I don’t disagree at all. I think it’s a mistake the way blizzards philosophy currently is with the game, but at the same time the core content structure and the way it’s currently being built is based around m+ and raiding.
If people aren’t doing m+, pvp, or raiding, there is not much to enjoy in current content at that point and that’s where I fail to see how those players find enjoyment. I mean, obviously they are finding enjoyment enough to stay subbed so it does happen, but for me personally I could never see enjoying a game where I’m trying to live in its past glory knowing it’s being developed in a way that I have no interest in.
i got bored of mythic+ after a few seasons and raiding is so old who cares. i find a few little things that still keep me subbed but my playtime is laughable. i spent most of my wow life raiding and then keys for awhile and blizz is to slow on coming up with fun exciting endgame i personally don’t care whether i log in or not. and you talk about classic its boring to same old thing done did it why do i wanna suffer thru it again.
Sunk cost and boredom probably OP so you revert back to WoW as the go-to to subdue that urge of playing perhaps. Just go play classic? You are already subbed.
If you’re enjoying what you’re doing then yes you’re probably still enjoying it. The endgame part like rated pvp/m+/raid are for people who want that extra challenge and it’s not really for everyone.
Exactly, raiding and m+ isn’t some tell all sign or must do.
There are people in this game that literally just fish all day and that is what they enjoy.
That is the great thing about MMO’s - - it isn’t about group play… it’s about an experience. Fishing, gold making, traveling aimlessly throughout each continent and checking out the lands…
I ignore the raids, dungeons and M+. I didn’t have the time to devote but now in the current mentality of play, I don’t enjoy them.
As long as the game is entertaining to me, i will play. I have made friends here. I have at least one toon of every race because i was interested in their starting stories, one of every class and chase the heritage armor for the story.
I don’t worry or care about how others play the game. After a long day, I want to mindlessly unwind or get distraction, I find WoW still has those things.
Everyone has their own idea of fun. The only judge for that is you.
