Legion gave over 10x the gold that WoD did. They were both bad, but Legion was significantly worse. The wow token went up almost 7x in value from start of Legion to end of Legion.
I don’t. All I know is that people have quit in drives because of BfA.
I’ve lost far more friends to the incompetence known as Beta for Azeroth than I did to WoD.
Oh man, I’m wading into dangerous waters with this one but…
I liked WoD more.
-Garrisons, while done poorly for the overall game design, were fun. I liked having my own base that I could customize.
-The zones were much larger, more varied, and more enjoyable.
-Exploration was FUN. I actually had a reason to hunt rares. Not “Oh, another Azerite sliver”

Garrisons provided unlimited mats, bad for gatherers. It’s almost like the scrapper was designed by the same person who set up the mine and garden in wod.
People need to realize that when your selling argument is that BFA is better than a trash expansion doesn’t mean that BFA isn’t a trash expansion. And comparing trash with trash isn’t a very constructive discussion to be honest xd

WoW downward trend is real with metrics we can observe (from raiding and pvp), if we didn’t have WoW Classic, WoW subs numbers would have gone under WoD. But sure, wow won’t die soon, even at it’s lowest wow is still the biggest mmo.

That’s also because WoD class design was a pruned MoP.
Everyone has its own opinion. I don’t like M+ at all i play it , you get gear from it, but i don’t like it.
Especially because addons like RIO or AOTC linking created “In game inequality”
Ok let’s put it in simple terms .
WoD is like stepping on rabbit droppings and BfA is like trying to navigate a field loaded with cow patties.
Both are turds just one is a bigger turd then the other.
WoD was better. Better raids, better class design, better story. Hell better money making
The only thing BfA has over WoD is mythic plus, and even THAT is problematic. Compounded with the no master looter change it made mythic+ a requirement for raiders. And im not talking a one-and-done situation, i mean if you wanted to mythic raid you probably had to dump hours upon hours every week.
The seasonal affixes are also problematic as there are classes/specs that a terrible at them. Being terrible at X combination affixes for one week is one thing, your class/spec being terrible at affixes for months is another.
Also legion did mythic plus better.
Oh yea, no azerite neck level or essence grinding in WoD.
WOD is undeniably and nearly unanimously the worst xpac of all time.

The token price went up because Blizzard started allowing you to add bnet balance with it. WoD was the height of smartphone money making. In Legion you had to have a very specific setup in order to make a few thousand gold a cycle. WoD had a much more extensive, and rewarding, mission table mini-game.
I don’t think an average of 5k a day per toon is considered a few thousand. If you had 10 toons you were averaging 50k a day doing absolutely nothing. Think about that, 50k a day while not contributing anything at all to the economy. Yes the conversion to Battle.net balance made it worse, but the mission table quests where you could get 2k+ per gold mission PER character was significantly worse than garrison work orders.
WoD pvp was in EVERY way superior than bfa. Pvp vendors, better classes, etc.
Pvp’ers weren’t forced to pve to get gear to pvp in.

WoD you logged in, did some missions and that was it. BfA I can actually do a bit more than that. Sure its a content drought now at this point but that is at every point at the end of an expansion. Sure BfA was an easy C rating but I never completely hated the expansion or super loved it, I for the most part sticked it out. WoD I would resub for like a month and quit for like another 2-3 months or long and do it over again. Legion I didnt quit at all.
I liked M+ in Legion but BFA dungeons are trash. WoD dungeons were fun and I wish we had M+ back then.

Rep does give anything? Genereate 15k-20k gold a day from paragon. Maybe uou are broke because you dont get it? Started mount quest (bruto) on June 1. Will end June with 1.7 mil gold with no tokens used. Any 14 guys with lvl q5 oaks and 75+ resist (and missed first 8 weeks on all guys). Grind smarter…
