Without arena/m+/raid would you still play WoW?

I would not play the game at all. Heroic dungeons are extremely boring, LFR is a joke. All i have left are bgs which will get old quite fast.

That’d be tough, but I’d still love WoW. Probably focus more on the remaining bits of true endgame: transmog!

nah all the things i used to do as far as mounts i really wanted or mog i got the majority. i really ain’t did nothing serious this expansion but without keys the way the game is set up now i’d die of boredom. korthia was just so boring i only did it cause one of the friends i have left loved it and i used to use ah alot selling stuff but nowadays i don’t even do that i got plenty of gold just sitting collecting dust.

I already don’t play raids because it’s a non-stater/broken for guildless.

I already don’t play PvP because the anti-cheat in WoW doesn’t work, on top of PvP in ABK games being full of taking turns with toxics with a lopsided matchmaker.

I have barely touched m+ as of late, because the vault punishes playing in bursts. There’s no reward rollover for if you play excess one week and less another.

At this point I just watch shows and do crafting for AH in the background. WoW is a broken down theme park. This is coming from someone who started WoW with Shadowlands a year ago.

People here would tell me at this point to unsub, but this is why I’ve been paying for subs with wow tokens I get with gold. I literally go out of my way to not pay subs because Blizzard has taught me their live service game is on full autopilot and has systems designed to troll.

Also - Once your customer support proves itself to not actually look into tickets and hand-wave you over consistently with copypasta responses, it really tells the player Blizzard doesn’t want their money and makes any future interactions with staff to appear like they’re trolling, intentional or not.

i can do without M+ and arena but not raiding. raiding is the reason why i got into WoW.

the day i am unable to raid for my own reasons i’d quit for good in terms of content. that might be in a few more months tbh

No.

I only play this game for m+ and raids at this point.

No
I play for endgame content only

I wish levelling was optional and could be skipped entirely for free

What about if you still got random battlegrounds? It sounds like the OP would only remove arena (rated or skirms?)

In which case, OP, how would gearing work? Would you get the best BG gear from BGs?

WoW would have to be free at that point because it would basically be nothing other than a sandbox. Which I’d still play cause I like to RP in WoW. But that’d be it.

Obviously i’m counting battlegrounds as part of endgame

What i mean is levelling/rp and content that doesn’t reward endgame progression

Could you imagine if leveling BGs were the only BGs? Hunter Heaven lol

No. Ā Ā

Yes, I would. I remember when LFR was it. You could pug but most just used LFR/LFD.
I’d miss bg’s though.

  • editing to add: I hope they continue the mythics and arenas, etc… I’d hate to see so many leave because those were gone.

I’d advocate for the deletion of pvp at that point

Those things are the reason I don’t play anymore. WoW has became way to competitive and Blizzard only focuses on rewarding that play style, with world content as an afterthought. Imo a open world mmorpg should be focused on exploring and adventuring in a huge open world. Not speedrunning, leaderboards, and instance spamming. The ā€œthree pillarsā€ philosophy is cancerous for this game. Everyone rushes to end game and the end game is the worst part of WoW.

I’ve literally never bothered with any of those other than jumping in lfr occasionally, and have been playing WoW since at least the end of bc/start of wrath…

So to answer your question….no i would not quit wow if they were removed. Why would i stop playing if something completely irrelevant to me was removed?

It seems you dont play it because you dont want to play it then lol
You won’t find people hacking at all.

Most people play for skins / customization… no need to argue about that, therefore most would not care about the above listed things if they were to be removed.

No and I don’t think a significant number of the people on my btag would either tbh

Same.

It doesn’t have to be an either/or thing. Having new lore and new collectibles doesn’t need to cost a raid tier. Likewise, iterating on m+ shouldn’t degrade the story or cause a lack of world content.

Azeroth is a big place, there’s plenty for everyone. I WOULD like to see more content though, for both styles of play.
